He’s the best player in that draft besides Wemby. I don’t though it’s even debatable. If he can get even an avg. jump shot he’ll be a star and putting up 20/10/5 with elite defense. He’s a stud and future star. He just does everything which is rare.
He's not a freak athlete. He's has excellent size for his position but it is his skill set that makes him stand out. He has an old school fundamental style about him. He has attention to detail and is a technician on the floor! He plays the game the RIGHT way. I love his game.
How does he have this kind of feel for the game and great defense coming out of OTE, it really surprises me. Only if he can shoot, he will be a top 10 guy
@@malagadrivehoops6634Some dudes just doesn't have the hand-eye coordination to be a good shooter. I think he could make short middys but unfortunately I don't think he'll ever shoot 3s
@@Time_Lapse_Master.watch his full games at OTE he can shoot, just takes a diff level of confidence to shoot how he did before he isn’t used to not being the best on the floor so he isn’t as comfortable shooting

When you add in the rockets will always have a play maker on the floor with Sengun, Vanvleet, Amen and a bit of Jalen 😯 and reed also has that potential the ball movement the plays the dunks! It’ll be so electric this year
His quickness getting off the floor (especially when rebounding) reminds me of Moses Malone. I'm not saying he'll be anywhere near as good but it just looks like Moses.

But the intangibles this year, even more than last, is going to be teaching! Each man has at least one element in their game that is all-star caliber. Basically, they each have an opportunity to learn different parts of their individual games from each other! Stay healthy, Rockets. Last year was .500. This year? 🤔 I already made one crazy prediction. I’ll leave the record alone. It won’t matter anyway.

He can’t shoot for shit.. and his free throws are trash….. he is a great athlete with potential to be a good player. But he is not a point guard at all.. he was a pg on overtime elite… but not skilled enough to be a point guard in the NBA he is not a point guard on the NBA level!!! he is currently KJ Martin with more ball handling skills
A bigger, more athletic KJ, with longer wingspan, savant iq, more "dog", and switchable 1-4 defender. But yeah besides all that I get the comparison....

My Rockets might have the best young core in the league. Green, Sengun, Smith, Eason, Griffin, Thompson, Whitmore, and now Sheppard.
If Amen can improve his shooting skills, he would be even more scary.
His ability to be explosive while jumping with all different foot positions is wild and makes him such a versatile finisher

I think Simmons garnered a negative label more so for his lack of aggression as a scorer
