Well, French and German are certainly two of the three languages in both Belgium AND Switzerland for sure. Of course, the third languages in both are what set both apart... Swiss have the Italians, and Belgians have the Dutch. However, being a mutt French and German blend, that might put me in an identity crisis for sure. Although I do believe that Belgium has a better compromise for me, since it IS the German color scheme with the French layout on the flag, so that might be an easier country to identify to...
Et si tu écoute bien, tu entendra que ce n'est pas la guerre qui est mise en avant ou glorifiée. Notre pays a cert une armée mais, ce n'est pas dans notre habitude d'aller embêter le voisin. Construire, rester droit, rester unis. Le roi, notre unificateur, au-de-là de nos petites et grosses disputes interne. La lois qui nous protège. La liberté, celle de construire dans son coin. Celle de pouvoir avoir la paix. Très simple. On a pas besoin de gouvernement, juste de notre roi pour nous garder tous unis. Et Une signature une fois par an pour voté les budgets. C'est simple, si simple que pour des français vivant en Belgique, dés qu'un drapeau belge est placer à une fenêtre, ils pensent à tord qu'on est nationaliste. Non, c'est juste que l'on respecte notre roi et qu'à sa mort, nous le pleurons. Plus drôle encore, pour un français, un pays sans gouvernement, c'est une nation sur le déclin. C'est faux, la Belgique se porte mieux sans gouvernement et ça restera vrai. Le fait qu'un pays n'ai qu'un roi, au pouvoir comme celui du notre, peut surprendre, peut provoquer l’incompréhension, mais sans lui, la Belgique serait probablement en guerre civil ou divisée. Si aujourd'hui la Belgique est si divisée c'est qu'elle commence à oubliée son passé. Voila ce pourquoi la Belgique n'a finalement pas besoin de l'Europe. Au contraire, elle lui est nocive. (Enfin, ça c'est mon petit point de vue de Belge de 21 ans.) PS: Notre roi et sa famille nous coûte moins chère qu'un premier ministre ou qu'un président. Car quand ils en ont mare, ils sont payer une fortune alors que le roi, lui ne gagne qu'un 3000€/mois. (Le reste de la dotation royale va à l'entretient du palais, aux voyages de représentation et aux salaires des ouvriers, gardes et autres travailleurs de l'entreprise de la Couronne Belge.)

Well, French and German are certainly two of the three languages in both Belgium AND Switzerland for sure. Of course, the third languages in both are what set both apart... Swiss have the Italians, and Belgians have the Dutch. However, being a mutt French and German blend, that might put me in an identity crisis for sure. Although I do believe that Belgium has a better compromise for me, since it IS the German color scheme with the French layout on the flag, so that might be an easier country to identify to...

Et si tu écoute bien, tu entendra que ce n'est pas la guerre qui est mise en avant ou glorifiée. Notre pays a cert une armée mais, ce n'est pas dans notre habitude d'aller embêter le voisin.
Construire, rester droit, rester unis.
Le roi, notre unificateur, au-de-là de nos petites et grosses disputes interne. La lois qui nous protège. La liberté, celle de construire dans son coin. Celle de pouvoir avoir la paix. Très simple.
On a pas besoin de gouvernement, juste de notre roi pour nous garder tous unis. Et Une signature une fois par an pour voté les budgets.
C'est simple, si simple que pour des français vivant en Belgique, dés qu'un drapeau belge est placer à une fenêtre, ils pensent à tord qu'on est nationaliste. Non, c'est juste que l'on respecte notre roi et qu'à sa mort, nous le pleurons.
Plus drôle encore, pour un français, un pays sans gouvernement, c'est une nation sur le déclin.
C'est faux, la Belgique se porte mieux sans gouvernement et ça restera vrai. Le fait qu'un pays n'ai qu'un roi, au pouvoir comme celui du notre, peut surprendre, peut provoquer l’incompréhension, mais sans lui, la Belgique serait probablement en guerre civil ou divisée.
Si aujourd'hui la Belgique est si divisée c'est qu'elle commence à oubliée son passé.
Voila ce pourquoi la Belgique n'a finalement pas besoin de l'Europe. Au contraire, elle lui est nocive. (Enfin, ça c'est mon petit point de vue de Belge de 21 ans.)
PS: Notre roi et sa famille nous coûte moins chère qu'un premier ministre ou qu'un président. Car quand ils en ont mare, ils sont payer une fortune alors que le roi, lui ne gagne qu'un 3000€/mois. (Le reste de la dotation royale va à l'entretient du palais, aux voyages de représentation et aux salaires des ouvriers, gardes et autres travailleurs de l'entreprise de la Couronne Belge.)

Personnellement, je trouve que l'hymne français est un peu trop violent et agressif mais bon, il représente notre passé (la Révolution française, les guerres napoléoniennes...)

I like it too, I like that it is in french (Français), german (Deutsch) and dutch (Nederlandse). As Belgium (Belgien, Belgique, België) is squeezed bethween France and Germany and have their similar neighbor Nederland up north.
