I’m Brazilian. I don’t think Brazil is a favorite to win the tournament. The team is rebuilding and haven’t shown any one anything special. I hope they can get it together in time to put on a good showing but more importantly, I hope this new generation of players can start to build some chemistry for WC qualifiers and create a more solid foundation for what I hope to see in 2026.

    • @TacticalManager

What’s going to be crucial is to see how they behave without Neymar.

We do have a problem about it, I mean, giving Mexico 10 unites extra so they tie Honduras & not get kicked out of the quarter finals?
Or USA struggling to score Trinidad at home to the ref gives Trinidad a red card at the end so the U.S. can score. They even tried to make it look fair by giving the U.S. a red card in Trinidad so it wouldn’t look rigged.

I don’t think so, colombias style seems really tailor made for Argentina they are too offensive which Argentina will maintain majority of possession which will overwhelm them especially with Argentina having insane defensive ball playing center backs. Not to mention the last defeat that Colombia took was to Argentina that ended 1-0. They had their A team which consisted of James Rodríguez, Lucho Díaz, cuadrado, and uribe while Argentina has their B team with Messi, Paredes, Romero, Enzo, De Paul, and Mac all missing

The knockouts are set up that way because of the distance, groups A & B play in east, groups C& D play in the west.
It will be difficult for a team to play in NJ then travel to California for the semifinal then back to Miami for the final.
Copa 2021 was set up that way too because it was planned to be cohosted by Colombia and Argentina (northern teams vs southern teams).
World Cup 2002 was set up the same way, 4 groups played in Japan and 4 in Korea until the final.

A bit harsh on Santi in my opinion. Main reason he doesn't score is because he's a player that relies on having a solid midfield and wingers surrounding him. Which mexico hasn't had in years. Also, I haven't seen him start that many games. It always seems like he plays for like 7 mts whenever he's subbed in lol. Don't get me wrong, i don't think he's the best striker in mexico's history, i just don't think he's been given the chance to show his worth since he moved to europe. He's probably played like 7 games or less since he went to europe and like 4 games or less when he was in form last year.

I’ll be ecstatic the moment football leaves the US for big events and goes to more countries, I’m American and the delusion most of US fans have is insane 😂 put them against Colombia and Luis Diaz will look like a prime Neymar to those guys, pulisic doesn’t compare to South American talents

    • @customincisivecomment
      @customincisivecomment 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Maybe, but I suppose we’ll see. Diaz is a very special talent definitely… but to be fair, so is Pulisic. 16 goals/10 assists for Milan while playing out of position is nothing to overlook, even outperforming Leão this season. That’s not to say he’s a greater talent than Leão or Diaz, but his return has certainly been more efficient this year than Diaz’s 13G/5A. If you haven’t seen too much of him this season, he is a completely different player for Milan-the pre-injury acceleration over short distances has returned, the lack of composure in front of goal from Chelsea is _completely_ gone, and he has developed his left foot into such a powerful and accurate goalscoring weapon from both inside and outside the box that he truly no longer has a weak foot (which frees his right foot to contribute assists from the RW via crosses). I believe many mistakenly overlook the player because of the American hype and his poor physical form the last years at Chelsea, but don’t overlook the player he’s become, just as I won’t overlook the elite ability of Luis Diaz.

@@cre8ivjay that’s a pretty big IF. Chile and Peru are historically strong CONMEBOL sides and Argentina speaks for itself. And based on the way the tournament is set up, there’s actually still a chance Canada can face Argentina (or whichever team hypothetically advances from the group with them) in the quarters. Finishing 4th in a (admittedly strong) Group in the previous World Cup while conceding 7 goals isn’t helping my confidence in them, considering that they’ll be in a group with teams that have similar quality. In summary, finishing 2nd in the group would be a monumental achievement for a team that’s very inexperienced at a level of play such as the Copa America, but it’s not entirely impossible. I think participation in this tournament is big for all the CONCACAF teams in order to condition us to top quality international teams, and as a US fan I’ll be pulling for Canada as well, but I admittedly just can’t see it happening this tournament. My prediction is Canada finishing third, but I’d be pleasantly surprised to be proved wrong.

They have a player who scored against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in a Champions League semifinal that led to Chelsea winning the final a few years ago and was in WhoScored's Serie A Team of the Season this year, multiple other players with a lot of Champions League experience, 2 players who just won the Coppa Italia with Juve, multiple players from the PSV team that stomped the Eredivisie this season, a player who was a La Liga U-23 player of the month this year and nominated for La Liga Young Player of the Year award, and a player who was Fulham's Player of the Season in the Premier League, for example.
Is that impressive compared to the top countries? No. But it's enough that anyone who says their players are just at the level of "Some MLS title" can be disregarded as knowing too little to even talk about the US team.

Why pronounce names without an American accent when ur not even pronouncing them right because you’re using a Brazilian accent. It makes no sense

Why does it matter to you?
Some come out with an American accent while others with a Brazilian accent.

@@nickortiz215When you are multicultural (I am Polish, Mexican, and Cuban), someone always says you are “forcing” an accent or being a fraud, no matter how you pronounce words. You’re either too American sounding or too Hispanic sounding, but no matter what accent you use you’re always “faking it”-after a while, you realize it is what it is 😂

@@customincisivecomment that is not remotely what I meant. I am Argentino. What I am saying is he is pronouncing Hispanic names with a Portuguese accent. Two completely different languages. So because he’s pronouncing it completely WRONG in his Portuguese accent why even bother switching? Enzo Fernandez isn’t pronounced “Enzo Fernansh”. He’s switching accents just to butcher names. He might as well have kept the American accent. You completely misunderstood me

@@nickortiz215 haha oh, I see what you're saying now. Fair enough point, but I guess it's like when I try to pronounce Portuguese words and use a vague Hispanic accent with my best limited knowledge of the language because at least it sounds a bit closer to Portuguese a lot of the time (even though you're right I'll inevitably make a mistake like pronouncing the "j" as an English "h" sound).
