I think the enthusiasm lowering had more to do with the participants not being able to answer even his easiest questions in the first round/ not answering at all than anything else.
The sound quality in this edition has been so very down that have had to resort to auto-generated close captioning to be able to understand whatever is going on...🙍🏽♀️🙍🏽♀️🙍🏽♀️🙍🏽♀️ If something could be done about this in editing, post-production stage, viewers would be highly grateful.
The question in 22:22 had the answer right there in the question. 😂 KV didn't pronounce the Greek word, which was the answer itself. The letters are kind of intuitive for a science/math student. The letters were K, A, Pi (for P), Rho (for R), E, A, I; or, Kapreai (Capri).
I don't know but it feels so sad that the participants know much more about the historical figures of the Western World(which is good) but struggle to take names when it comes to the historical figures of their own country.
A part of me thinks that at least a few of them pretend to not know answers to questions on indian/hindu topics so as not to come across as rooted/religious/jingoistic/right-winger. A lady friend of mine, who lives in Mahim and claims to belong to 'town', deliberately uses male pronouns while speaking Hindi so as to send a message that she is more comfortable with speaking in English than Hindi. Similarly, knowing more about the Greek/Norse/Roman myth, Christianity and little about eastern philosophy is in vogue today. Talking about Cricket is too earthy, but talking about Manchester United exudes class. What's 112? We only know 911. I am not for bashing the west, but embracing the west should not come at the cost of decoupling from our roots.
KV, you need to do something better for people cheating on the quiz, it's obvious that someone in this quiz is being helped. Very very cringe to watch.
