    This music by Massenet is the most sensational ever, and it could not be played better than by this Orchestra under its lively Conductor. There is nothing else quite like it in the world of music. It is breathtaking.

    I was at this performance. It was brilliant. Magnificent. No cuts in the score...and this opera is usually cut to pieces. How I wish the complete performance was available here.

    Magnificent in every respect. Composition Genius. Highly Skilled Arrangement. Dramatic Conducting and a brilliant rendition by all the talented players in the orchestra. Absolutely breathtaking.

    This magnificent ballet music by Massenet is not on the playlist of Classic fm Radio. Try writing to them, as I have, and ask them to install it. Your chances are slim but it's worth a try.

    Los compositores del romanticismo francés, sucumbieron al encanto, el embrujo y el misterio de la música española. Massenet lo logró de manera insuperable. La Aragonesa es seguramente la pieza favorita de El Cid. Bravo!

    Love Massenet and his music which has been disparaged for being too melodic or saccharine. He was a genius drammatist, composer and though Wagner elipsed him in some respects his operas are still loved but his wealth of works remain unplayed except Manon.

    • @nonenoneonenonenone
      @nonenoneonenonenone 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wagner was trash. He could not eclipse anyone. Werther has great music in it.

    La música española es tan cautivante que llevó a muchos compositores extranjeros a componer "música española". Particularmente franceses, ( Ravek, Bisset, Massenet) pero hasta rusos como Rimsky Korsakov. La orquesta suena bien, pero filmar con una sola cámara fija está mal: muy pobre

      I performed 4 of the movements yesterday in my Youth Orchestra, and sadly there was clapping between movements. It wasn't as bad as the choir on before us, who were singing an abba medley and the audience clapped between songs (without breaks inbetween)

    • @TERRYBIGGENDEN
      @TERRYBIGGENDEN 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kamranhussain2210 So sorry to hear that. I'm in Australia and there is a growing tendency for music organisers to encourage capping between movements or pieces. It is part of the modern idea of letting audiences express their appreciation and enjoyment before the end. They seem to think this more relaxed attitude will make classical movement less 'elite' ad encourage younger people to attend. For me, the brief pauses between sections allows time for s little contemplation and to prepare for the often contrasting moods to follow. I hate the clapping beyond belief. Just because it was the custom in past centuries doesn't mean it's desirable or appropriate.:-(

  • @sevtaptincer8194

    WHY does the audience KEEP APPLAUDING before it FINISHES. This is UNACCEPTABLE. It harms the concentration of the orchestra and the conductor.

    • @KeithOtisEdwards
      @KeithOtisEdwards 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Who are you? Gustav Mahler? Perhaps they are showing how much they enjoyed each movement? It's pseudo-intellectual snobs like you that have ruined classical music.
      Next, I expect that you will complain about the informal attire of the audience, as well.
