@@gregorlandini4328 Yeah, Marky's a great drummer--easily the best of the three that the Ramones had. Robert Quine lamented the fact that, after Marky left the Voidoids, they never really had another good drummer.
So bk in the early 2000's, a CD reissue of "End Of The Century" included bonus trax that included 'non-Spector' (aka raw/bare bones) "RAMONES" style versions (labeled as demos) of several songs plus a few extras. IMO, these versions are more authentic than the over produced final mix that most peeps are familiar with. These trax are as follows: - 'Danny Says' - 'I'm Affected' - 'All The Way'* - 'Do You Remember Rock 'N' Roll Radio?' * = probably my fav track on the album (either version). Anyway, I wish there had been a "demo" version of 'Chinese Rock' cuz I could imagine it being way more edgey and raw. It may have had "Pro-Thunders" peeps thinking twice about their decision....maybe...🤷
Actually, I'd say 'Do You Remember Rock 'N' Roll Radio?' is probably my fav demo song of all the demo songs that would later appear on the "End Of The Century" album. That said, the Spector version of 'All The Way' that would end up on "End Of The Century" still remains as my fav song on the album.

That's probably because the producer made them play it a hundred times and used the take when he was exhausted. He was known to do that. He thought that musicians made the best music when they were tired and frustrated.
The Ramones at their zenith.
If I met someone who had absolutely no idea what New York punk was about and I had to give them a one-song crash course, this is the song I'd choose.
Which version? This or the Heartbreakers?
@@l.salisbury1253 Probably the Ramones version, since theirs is an instantly recognizable name, bur either would work.
The drumming during the chorus is awesome

@@jonathanmitchell9886he just wanted to let people know he knows about the other version
Just the best !
Isn't it though?! I just listened 4 times. How about their cover of "Time Has Come Today"...
Spector’s production on this is absolutely genius. It sounds incredible through speakers in mono, his sonic foresight was really magnificent.
He was a great producer but a shitty person. He literally pulled a gun on Dee Dee
You are correct, sir.
This tune kicks ass !
The most heavy metal ramones song 🎸
It’s like 80’s hair metal. Their heaviest song is “Pinhead”
Warthog

Better than the original . Thunder's version was good but the Ramones version is great 👍 .
Damn it really is Commando🤔
Wish there was a version of this song with David Johansen singing.
I love Ramones, but I have to say that Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers do the best version
I like them both for different reasons lol
Dee Dee wrote it…….

Sometimes the drummer can have trouble keeping up with the guitarists in this song.
Thanks Capt. Maybe next time you can point out problems in the strings section. You armchair PoS
