they really like bringing in known killers(like Freddy, Jason, ect). but when they make their own unique killers, they usually go all out and make something really cool. forget her name, but y favorite is probably the diseased chick with the lantern(and her story is good). this is just such a cool killer. they did a really good job

The artist as you saw can spawn crows they're called direcrows she can spawn three of them they will travel the entire map so you can use them to Mark people on generators and whatnot survivors hit with the dire Crow will get marked with a flock of birds flying around them until they try to repel them repelling is a duration so they will have to repel for a certain duration of time they can move they cannot drop any pallets go into lockers vaullt anything like that they cannot do any actions while repelling if marked by a flock of crows the next dire quote hit will damage you if a dire Crow hits you when you're 6 m away I think it will damage you no matter if you have a flock on you or not she's a good killer for monitoring generators and best use with perks from characters like the hag the cenobite which is pinhead perks from the blight and my personal favorite kind of bias to this is save The Best for last it is a Michael Myers perk and every time you hit anybody that isn't the obsession you gain a stack which every stack you have lowers the time you have to wait after successfully hitting a survivor having a build that will slow down generator progress and force people off of a generators is quite overpowered I can go into her perks if you'd like me to but I don't think I'll go too into detail like percentage wise and stuff like that but basically give you a rundown how they work
Little off here as you said while swarmed the survivors cannot go into lockers which is not true, jumping into lockers is a faster way to dispell the crows. Also ive seen survivors drop pallets while swarmed as well. So if her mechanic is they cant drop pallets then thats still broken. But behavior also said the fastest way of dispelling is jumping into a locker.

She has a sad backstory. TLTR she was a sad person since she was a kid where she lost her mother which she got blamed for then her brother which her father blamed her for. She was suicidal but saw bunch of crows looking at her so she thought something cared for her. And the only way she could cope was by making art and she got in trouble for it. She and her friend got kidnapped whom cut her arms off and her tongue ripped out of. The guy got attacked by bunch of crows after she accepted the rage and screamed but she couldn't control the crows which turned into the next target which was her friend.
Her backstory actually isn't that much. All female Killers essentially get tragic backstories that paint them in a sympathetic light, they're hardly ever actually evil so they get some special treatment. Artist's story is really just stupid torture porn. Plus Crows are not native to Chile (Where the Artist lives) so either the devs didn't do any research or you could just brush it off as "Well Crows are the Entity's scouts and they were keeping an eye on her."

Liked the reaction very much, also another positive side with devs creating a killer instead of bringing in is the potential license issues. For example Stranger Things dlc is removed, rumored to be removed due to license issues.
Yeah Netflix is apparently starting their own gaming division so wanted all their iP back. Which is silly. They could’ve kept it in dbd. Not everything needs to be exclusive ☹️

He also makes a lot of good videos reading and recapping the lore of killers. Pixel Bush also makes videos regarding killer’s lore but his videos are significantly longer but anaylze the potential inspiration of each character, and how successful each license content was implemented into the game! His video on the Artist is almost an hour long, and his other videos are around 30 minutes long or so. There is a channel that compiles the tomes stories but I’ll have to back to you with a name later haha.

The reason why she sounds like that and has ink for arms is because her arm were cut off and her tongue was ripped out of her mouth. I’m the DBD guy, any information about the game, I got you guys.
I think the actual information trailers have become a bit lackluster and less informative without the narrator to provide information. I think it would be interesting if you were to react to the backstories/tome films of the characters to get a better understanding of who the characters are, and either what they’ve done or what suffering they’ve gone through, so that it isn’t simply just names and design that you see. The characters have a backstory dialogue on their character, which explains a lot, but the tomes have very specific events of characters in mind, and the movie that comes with that concludes the writing. Unfortunately it is more words than visuals, but the tomes at least provide a narrator to listen to. It would be much more interesting for us to watch and for you to learn how the Artist came to be in the Entity’s realm instead of simply viewing the trailers and mori as base material to go off of. Not that you reacting to this isn’t interesting, but simply that leaving these characters alone after viewing them in the chapter trailers provides no real worth to the characters besides how they play in the game. Edit: I wrote this during the video. I’m very excited that you will be investigating everyone’s lore in the near future 😁
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames so the tomes themselves, there are 9 yes, but each tome contains 2-4 stories within them for certain characters. The stories are narrated, and for some at the end of the story there is a short film with no words that conclude the story. Separate to the tomes, there is a backstory on each character’s profile in the game, which will normally give you their backstory and how they were brought into the realm of the Entity. The Tome stories are more specific, significant, and personal events for those specific characters
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames it’s why I would HIGHLY recommend including reading of the memories and logs in the Tomes instead of just watching the cinematics, because the cinematics really don’t make a lot of sense if you don’t have the context, since they conclude the memory
Hey backstory is literally so sad. She does NOTHING at all wrong; in fact she overcomes immense tragedy and trauma through art and using her art (paintings and poetry) to speak out about crooked politics in Chile (in the 70s maybe? I forget). She does public presentations of live mural paintings and poetry readings in these elaborate costumes she makes. She’s inspired by crows as they surrounded her during the darkest moment of her life and she felt supported. I don’t want to give away the rest but let’s just say she literally never does a single crooked thing but is still taken by the entity to do it’s bidding of the eternal game of cat and mouse with killing survivors although death was the thing that most haunted her in her life. What’s really wild is almost all of the original female killers have tragic back stories where they weren’t actually “evil”. One character was left in a perpetual child-like state with stunted development due to immense trans and just only knew how to be territorial to protect herself. Another suffers an extreme mental break due to the series of unfortunate events and tragedy that led her to be in a situation she had no choice but to endure, which eventually leads to manipulation and subsequent mental break. Another dies unintentionally bring loss and death to innocents due to her own vanity/ego, but makes an ultimate sacrifice once she realizes the err of her ways.. Another is tortured in the most awful way only to then be corrupted by the entity and turned into the very type of evil that caused her suffering that led to her death. (This is my main, and to me the most tragic of them all) Another literally faces unfair persecution and has to constantly hide and run to protect herself from birth which leads her to have to kill to protect herself and that which she holds dear…. Another is literally betrayed and has her life ended by someone she’d never in her wildest dreams would’ve thought could commit such atrocities, for literally no reason. After witnessing that same person commit the same act to someone else she holds dear. I’m trying to be vague as possible to not potentially actually spoil things, but I’m sure fans in the comments would know what each vague description is referencing lol. Hopefully it still isn’t too much! So I think only like… 2.5 female killers that actually are legitimately “evil”/bad… one of which is s licensed character. (lol, one of them is moreso influenced to do evil by one of the first 2-so I’m counting her as a half)
@@WillowTheGremlin haha yeah at the end. I may have still been off but from my vague and imperfect criteria I was counting Amanda/The Pig (licensed… but truly evil. Kramer/Jigsaw at least always had this weird moral schtick about the choice of life… Amanda rigged her traps to kill regardless, deeming the subjects undeserving of redemption) And the Legion girls. BUT I count Susie as .5 jokingly because she sort of doesn’t deserve it either according to the base lore (there may be more tome lore but this was their first and only kill before the Entity took them). They go to vandalize the store that Joey was fired from. Unbeknownst to them, a janitor is working late. He finds and grabs Julie, and as Frank hears her stifled cry a dark impulse comes over him and he rushes over without hesitating and stabs the janitor in the back. Then, he ordered the rest to “finish the job” while they stared at him in disbelief. First, Joey bit down his jaw and took a stab, then Susie refused and said she didn’t want to do it. Frank screamed at her they had to finish what they started. Julie closes her eyes and stabs his chest, then she (Susie’s best friend but also romantic interest of leader and manipulator Frank) hands Susie the bloody blade reminding her they’re all in this together now. Then, Susie is shaking and still staring on in disbelief as Frank grabbed her shaking hands and forced the knife in the man’s throat. They clean up, put the body in the trunk and go bury it at the Ormond resort they’ve been squatting at. Frank is enticed by the Entity’s Fog while they’re finishing the burial, and once they notice his footsteps into the forest the others followed. They were all consumed by the Fog to eternally become killers for the Entity… Susie straight up refused, then had her bestie try to manipulate her (cause Julie was so hot for Frank’s charming controlling sociopath persona + potentially had much less remorse) and eventually Frank had to grab and force her hands to do her strike to the neck himself… I know Susie previously participated with the group in vandalism, bullying, shoplifting, looting, and squatting, BUT the janitor’s death was the first “kill” for all of them. If anyone didn’t deserve to be taken by the Entity it was Susie… she was visibly shaken by the incident and didn’t want to participate. So if anything I only halfway count Susie as being “evil”. I think more manipulated, misguided, naive, lonely…
All of the killers have some amazing lore, I 100% recommend reacting to the killers backstories! (Survivors too!)

I think the actual information trailers have become a bit lackluster and less informative without the narrator to provide information. I think it would be interesting if you were to react to the backstories/tome films of the characters to get a better understanding of who the characters are, and either what they’ve done or what suffering they’ve gone through, so that it isn’t simply just names and design that you see. The characters have a backstory dialogue on their character, which explains a lot, but the tomes have very specific events of characters in mind, and the movie that comes with that concludes the writing. Unfortunately it is more words than visuals, but the tomes at least provide a narrator to listen to. It would be much more interesting for us to watch and for you to learn how the Artist came to be in the Entity’s realm instead of simply viewing the trailers and mori as base material to go off of. Not that you reacting to this isn’t interesting, but simply that leaving these characters alone after viewing them in the chapter trailers provides no real worth to the characters besides how they play in the game.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames so the tomes themselves, there are 9 yes, but each tome contains 2-4 stories within them for certain characters. The stories are narrated, and for some at the end of the story there is a short film with no words that conclude the story. Separate to the tomes, there is a backstory on each character’s profile in the game, which will normally give you their backstory and how they were brought into the realm of the Entity. The Tome stories are more specific, significant, and personal events for those specific characters
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames it’s why I would HIGHLY recommend including reading of the memories and logs in the Tomes instead of just watching the cinematics, because the cinematics really don’t make a lot of sense if you don’t have the context, since they conclude the memory

Hey backstory is literally so sad. She does NOTHING at all wrong; in fact she overcomes immense tragedy and trauma through art and using her art (paintings and poetry) to speak out about crooked politics in Chile (in the 70s maybe? I forget).
She does public presentations of live mural paintings and poetry readings in these elaborate costumes she makes. She’s inspired by crows as they surrounded her during the darkest moment of her life and she felt supported.
I don’t want to give away the rest but let’s just say she literally never does a single crooked thing but is still taken by the entity to do it’s bidding of the eternal game of cat and mouse with killing survivors although death was the thing that most haunted her in her life.
What’s really wild is almost all of the original female killers have tragic back stories where they weren’t actually “evil”. One character was left in a perpetual child-like state with stunted development due to immense trans and just only knew how to be territorial to protect herself.
Another suffers an extreme mental break due to the series of unfortunate events and tragedy that led her to be in a situation she had no choice but to endure, which eventually leads to manipulation and subsequent mental break.
Another dies unintentionally bring loss and death to innocents due to her own vanity/ego, but makes an ultimate sacrifice once she realizes the err of her ways..
Another is tortured in the most awful way only to then be corrupted by the entity and turned into the very type of evil that caused her suffering that led to her death. (This is my main, and to me the most tragic of them all)
Another literally faces unfair persecution and has to constantly hide and run to protect herself from birth which leads her to have to kill to protect herself and that which she holds dear….
Another is literally betrayed and has her life ended by someone she’d never in her wildest dreams would’ve thought could commit such atrocities, for literally no reason. After witnessing that same person commit the same act to someone else she holds dear.
I’m trying to be vague as possible to not potentially actually spoil things, but I’m sure fans in the comments would know what each vague description is referencing lol. Hopefully it still isn’t too much!
So I think only like… 2.5 female killers that actually are legitimately “evil”/bad… one of which is s licensed character. (lol, one of them is moreso influenced to do evil by one of the first 2-so I’m counting her as a half)
That’s sucks 😢 but also makes for great lore and not feeling quite as bad as playing as one of the killers in the game 🤔🤗

@@WillowTheGremlin haha yeah at the end. I may have still been off but from my vague and imperfect criteria I was counting Amanda/The Pig (licensed… but truly evil. Kramer/Jigsaw at least always had this weird moral schtick about the choice of life… Amanda rigged her traps to kill regardless, deeming the subjects undeserving of redemption)
And the Legion girls. BUT I count Susie as .5 jokingly because she sort of doesn’t deserve it either according to the base lore (there may be more tome lore but this was their first and only kill before the Entity took them).
They go to vandalize the store that Joey was fired from. Unbeknownst to them, a janitor is working late. He finds and grabs Julie, and as Frank hears her stifled cry a dark impulse comes over him and he rushes over without hesitating and stabs the janitor in the back.
Then, he ordered the rest to “finish the job” while they stared at him in disbelief. First, Joey bit down his jaw and took a stab, then Susie refused and said she didn’t want to do it. Frank screamed at her they had to finish what they started. Julie closes her eyes and stabs his chest, then she (Susie’s best friend but also romantic interest of leader and manipulator Frank) hands Susie the bloody blade reminding her they’re all in this together now. Then, Susie is shaking and still staring on in disbelief as Frank grabbed her shaking hands and forced the knife in the man’s throat.
They clean up, put the body in the trunk and go bury it at the Ormond resort they’ve been squatting at. Frank is enticed by the Entity’s Fog while they’re finishing the burial, and once they notice his footsteps into the forest the others followed. They were all consumed by the Fog to eternally become killers for the Entity…
Susie straight up refused, then had her bestie try to manipulate her (cause Julie was so hot for Frank’s charming controlling sociopath persona + potentially had much less remorse) and eventually Frank had to grab and force her hands to do her strike to the neck himself…
I know Susie previously participated with the group in vandalism, bullying, shoplifting, looting, and squatting, BUT the janitor’s death was the first “kill” for all of them. If anyone didn’t deserve to be taken by the Entity it was Susie… she was visibly shaken by the incident and didn’t want to participate.
So if anything I only halfway count Susie as being “evil”. I think more manipulated, misguided, naive, lonely…
