That is false.. In Québec you can't have an electronic device IN HAND while driving. It's perfectly legal to have it in the center console/drink holders. Also it's a 300$ fine (up to 600$ if repeated infractions).
@@SciD1 Cops are not divine. Read up the law yourself. It's only if you hold the cellphone that it becomes illegal (or if it obstructs view, like if it stuck in the center of the windshield, per the law it is illegal)
You can send destination and routs planned on your phone to the car via google maps. It's not limited to only entering it in from the vehicle.
