I think it’s because of the trick a lot of people do with wigs, which is using the strand out front to conceal the hairline/lace. Also, don’t know if Ru could see as far as the camera closeups, but when he was talking, you could see the hairline not moving when the rest of his forehead had expression.

The make up wasn’t perfectly done so his forehead was a little bit lighter than the wig.. I saw it when the camera closed up.. For those two sitting further away it would have been very hard to spot, but since Ru is bald himself and maybe sometimes wears wigs, he is more used to looking at small details like that.. I think that RuPaul's tell on number 4 were the flyaway's off his bangs, and the group of strands hanging in front of his ear. Nobody with long hair doesn't habitually pull that back behind their ears. To the hair dye question, I think RuPaul used that as a clue, but not definitive. It's plausible that they could not go white roots until way later in life, and i'd bet RuPaul knows that. Source: My grandfather was surfer bleach blond well in to his 60's and never even went fully white.

I think that RuPaul's tell on number 4 were the flyaway's off his bangs, and the group of strands hanging in front of his ear. Nobody with long hair doesn't habitually pull that back behind their ears. To the hair dye question, I think RuPaul used that as a clue, but not definitive. It's plausible that they could not go white roots until way later in life, and i'd bet RuPaul knows that. Source: My grandfather was surfer bleach blond well in to his 60's and never even went fully white.
