I see Westside as an “album director” almost more than a rapper. He doesn’t need to be centre stage all the time and let’s others shine. There’s just no other artist who picks beats and features as well as he does, to the point where he don’t even rap on some tracks but they still definitively feel like Westside Gunn songs.

On the song Celine Dion that sample that’s right in the middle of the song says “ That’s right took me a couple minutes longer than I anticipated, What can you expect? I was fighting 2 world champions that night “ I feel this sample could slightly be alluding too the fact he dropped HWH8 right in the middle of Donda and CLB and side B came out a little later, “2 world champions”

This is actually one of the best reviews I’ve ever seen from Melon. I found it fair and well articulated. This is probably my favourite Westside Gunn project thus far. Given his recent interview off Hot 97, he said he’s about to drop yet again this year - and I can hardly wait!

The moment I hit Rip Bergdorf I knew Side B was going to be one of Gunn's best projects, with everything that's released in the past couple of weeks this is easily what I've been going back to the most.
I can't believe he didn't mention forest lawn, it has literally one of the hardest 2chainz verses ever. Why I do em like that also has such an incredible instrumental, and Westside dips into melancholy and almost regret in a way he never has before. I mean melon for sure mentioned some of the best highlights on side B but those 2 tracks are like top 5 on the album for me.
Forest lawn was fire, incredible headbopping beat, Westside uses most unlikely flow that somehow works, and 2Chainz doesn't fall behind either. Whole track slaps
Stove God was the star of this album for me. I foresee westside to start executive producing a lot of albums for guys in this pocket of rap like he did for Mach cause he’s a master of curating a great album. It must also be said; conductor Williams is certified at this point, such a distinct and original style

Over the years Antony has put me on to some good shit and believe he has done the same for a lot of you guys out there too, I think music is a way of life and helps billions get through utter fuckery, shit, sour times, hard times, dark times, whatever the fuck you wanna call it, music can help get you through all that shit. Production-wise i think the 3track run near the end of HWHSideB is one of the best runs of consecutive beats/tracks on a project ive heard for a minute - i think Alch did atleast 1 or two of them (its the tracks, Ostertage, then Munch, then 99Avirex - they def have a smother vibe tha alotta other griselda stuff but that shit WORKS

Seems like 2021 is a good year for both Anthony and his fans. So far, he has given 2 albums a 10, 4 albums a 9, over 32 albums an 8 and over 45 albums a 7. Over the years Antony has put me on to some good shit and believe he has done the same for a lot of you guys out there too, I think music is a way of life and helps billions get through utter fuckery, shit, sour times, hard times, dark times, whatever the fuck you wanna call it, music can help get you through all that shit. So, for all the music Anthony has given me (directly or indirectly) and all the music he'll give in years to come, I sincerely, fucking thank you.
Side A is to flex Stove and Rome who are two of the best rappers out right now, period.
