I love that this family speaks multiple languages❤ I hear one language one parent works great which is what your doing in German. That’s great just have her watch German cartoons an hour a day and have play dates with German kids weekly. Fanta will be speaking German by 15 months. I would say another method you can try to learn the other languages is the One language and an Activity method. Like attending an African church that speaks Pulaar, calling your family daily so Fanta can speak to your dad, and a weekly online play class with colorful Pulaar workbooks Or at this stage Pulaar nursery rhymes for nap times(Pulaar to English Kids Dictionary). As for the English language an English Korean Nursery School should work great when she is 3 years old. Hope these tips help!!!🥰😍❤️
I love how Fanta is surrounded by family who are Korean, Italian, senegalese, German and English speakers, hopefully she will be very advanced in all languages and cultures ❤️
Tearing up at the 15:11 mark. A loving, couple consisting of a Black man, a white woman enjoying their Korean granddaughter…I am in awe at the multicultural influences this beautiful child will have in her life growing up. Fanta is going to experience a rich, diverse and loving environment.
I don't know why I got emotional all of a sudden, but seeing you there with your parents together with Fanta. Just all 3 generations together just made me tear up for some reason. I'm so happy for you and your family.
Your parents offered very sound advice. Unlike adults, children can learn languages at a much more rapid pace. What a blessing to grow up in a multilingual household. Tfs
This was excellent - spot on! I’m an ESL Professor at a U.S. college. I explain to my students that they shouldn’t abandon their first language as they raise their children because they can parent at their best in a language that intimately reflects their lives. They are surprised to hear that, particularly from someone teaching them English. Children ‘might’ have a delay, but when the talking starts, they’ve already sorted out the distinctions. Brains are pre-wired for this; it’s what they do best. Simply a wonderfully informed video.👏🏽👏🏽
Being a polyglot is such a blessing. In many African countries it is the norm to know 3 languages or more and it’s a great benefit when travelling different countries, or getting into different careers. I wish I knew more than 3 but unfortunately I’m only bilingual - (ish)

That’s so cool that your dad taught you his native tongue rather than the colonial language spoken in his country !! Alot of Africans where I live(Canada) teaches their colonial tongue (French or English) rather than their native language. Beautiful family 😊.
When I was a child I really hated the fact that my dad didn't talk French to me since I thought it's more important, but now I am so happy that he chose to teach me his native language instead and I am very proud to know so much about my heritage ❤️
Yep, that's my situation. My Dad's Cameroonian and my mother is American. I speak French and English. Unfortunately, I don't speak my Dad's tribal language. I did spend the first 16 years of my life in Cameroon so there was no way I could opt out of French! I'm fortunate though to have lived in both of my parents' countries for over 15 years each. Now, I'm in France so French has served me well!

So nice to see a loving multicultural family! It's so interesting to me that you chose to speak only one language to Fanta and focus just on German. I think it does make sense, but I'm mixed myself and my parents each spoke to me & my brothers in two languages. My mother would speak to us in Icelandic and English My father would speak to us in Arabic derja (dialect) and French My parents would alternate speaking days so like Monday my mum only spoke to us in Icelandic and my dad was only speaking in French. Tuesday she would only speak in English and he would only speak in Derja. Also we had to answer back in the language they spoke in. When we were babies they would use both languages and repeat each sentence in both languages. As you know, being multi-lingual is a big blessing so I'm glad to see you passing on another language to sweet little Fanta. My partner is Japanese and we are also trying to figure out how many languages to pass on to our future children so watching videos like this is super interesting to me. Sorry for the long comment 💜
I definitely agree with what they said. Especially the part about parents being afraid that their child won’t learn the language of the place where they live, Of course they will! They will go to school, they’ll have friends, and it’ll be very easy for them to learn. And about speaking your own language with the child, it’s so much easier for you to express your emotions and to teach them about feelings and behaviors when you’re speaking in a language that you truly know. Loved the video! Great to hear from your parents! You have an amazing and unique family!

Being multi lingual is a huge advantage in this world were we are all interacting with each other so much more via the internet, traveling etc. Fanta will be ahead of most adults she encounters because of her knowledge of languages. It's just Awesome and now I'm inspired to learn more languages myself thanks for sharing your family and experiences with us keep Shining Queen 😊
What a lovely family you have Aisha. It is great to hear you parents speak their native language and I agree with everyone of speaking to your children in the language you expect to teach them. You have to be intentional about it but trust me, it pays off.
Grandpa explained it very well. Dual language learners must be consistent with one parent. Fanta will be amazing in math and science because she will grasp the comprehension due to multi language

Wow how awesome I really love the different languages... wow!
That was awesome👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. I love your parents,You look like both of them. You look like your mother from the nose up and your dad from the nose down😁 and I love the suggestions and advice that they gave that was awesome and very useful for families who speak many languages. I’m going to share this on my Facebook page.💞💞💞💞💞
Very good advice your parents provided about children learning different languages. A well proof is your sister and you. Fanta will be a great polyglot.
Fanta is a very fortunate little nugget. She is growing up surrounded by diversity. Every child should be exposed to this kind of environment. It would be much, much less hate in this world.
I see why you are such an awesome person, you get it from your parents, they are both so awesome and kind, bless them!
Happy to see your family aicha ! Merci pour les conseils finale 🙏
Trying this set right now and loving so far! Thank you!
You’re beautiful but, you also have such an amazing smile!
Que bonita familia tan intercultural, es muy bueno que Fanta aprenda tantos idiomas.
Fanta will learn from both her parents and be a smart young lady as she grows healthy😘😍😍😍
You look so much like your mum ^^...gosh, your mum could be a teacher, she has a very relaxing voice.
Nice video👍. Aicha looks so much like her mum ☺️
This was a cool video, thank you and your parents for sharing your experiences!
Hi Aisha, i'm from Cameroon 🇨🇲, in central Africa. My country is located between Nigeria, Niger and Congo Brazzaville In my country we speak pulaar and we have "Fulbe" ethnicity too. I'm a Big fan of tour Chanel . Baby Fanta is beautiful , she 's a sunshine.🥰🥰🥰
You guys are truly blessed.
Hi Aisha I have enjoyed your trip home to Italy so much.
It appears Fanta was trying to get her dad out of screen. A very cute seen.
Such a lovely video… thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing, Fanta you are blessed.
Gorgeous family. Fanta of course looks like her dad, but I think I see grandad (Aisha’s father) in her too. She is such a cutie pie.
