Yes, I’m one of those guys that doesn’t upgrade my bikes until I wear them out. My 92 XR628R and 03 XR400R just keep going...Just did a 219 mile ride to Long Beach Wa. USA on the XR400R...The beach is apx. 30 miles long. The sign for the beach says “Worlds Longest Beach”. Ya burst my bubble! Lol

I rode on the beach in Brazil from Torres southwards and it's something like 400+km long but I never got that far lol, someone pulled a gun on me and i spent the rest of that day at the police station. I love beach riding and would do it again if I were down there.

Did you do the whole 200km, Bruno? The funny thing with our 65km ride is by the time you get to the end it has been great but you are ready for some different scenery.

I rode my DR350 on the beach and hit a wave. Something wierd happened and the carburetor never worked again, either did me changing carbs. Compression was fine; throwing out to another harness off another one of my five DR350 bikes still couldn't get that bike running. Absolutely none of this made any sense to me, I even filled the cylinder with transmission fluid and cycled with the plug out to perhaps flush anything out. Compression was definitely great after that!
Bike hasn't ran in four years, it's next on my list of things to do when nothing else is on fire.

My locals stockton beach NSW, Great fun but i always come home with lots of sand inside my airbox on my ttr250 as its generally really soft and chopped up there so the bikes wheelspinning on and off quite often (10psi) poor old ttr250 gets a bit hot out there sometimes lol

rode baileys beach south to pouto in NZ north island. thats only 60km, not sure if you can ride the northern section (never got time).. my uncles KX450F (pro am racer in NZ) and a farm bike wr250f were generously loaned to my brother and i last time we were there, man what a day! at the time (10yrs back now) beaches were considered an extension of the road way with way more lax policing (ie: as long as youre not harassing other beach users, almost anything is fair game).. state forests mostly considered the same.
much more free in this respect compared to over here in aussie

TC, it's a bit of a drive/ride, but way over in the south-west corner of Victoria I am sure there are beach areas that can be driven on. We did a 4x4 trip starting at Robe (SA) and drove 2-3 days towards Victoria hugging the coastline. Otherwise, if it's sand you want, we do have a few deserts too.

      @@crosstrainingadventure
At Teewah most of our launches were by car tow which was very safe, but eventually banned by idiots who knew nothing about hang gliding but perceived it to be dangerous Alternatively there was a ramp at the southern end of Teewah beach at the start of the ridges. Hard slog carrying the equipment up to the launch site. Very difficult to get past where the Cherry Venture was beached. I did make it to Double Island Point three times, which was very difficult because of the long distance between small hills at the northern end
If you stayed on the ridges you could fly all day in the right conditions
At Rainbow beach which is a NE site you took off out of Carlow Blow which was great because you could land in the blow, have a rest and take off again
We would leave our gliders set up in Carlo Blow so we were ready to fly the next day
When the conditions were perfect you could fly two to three km out to sea before racing back in a tail wind to arrive at the ridge half way up, work up height and do it all again
