Hi andy. i have the qkz hbb hades, tangzu wan er, and castor bass version. I saw the simgot ea500lm selling for 67$ is it a good deal ?and should i buy it or not
Hi Andy, thanks for all the reviews and precious info about this hobby. Simple question/advice. Colorfly CDA M1P or EPZ TP30 (or other) to pair with the EA500LM. I have ibasso DC03 Pro, but I would like to upgrade to a better realistic/analogic tone/sound. Thanks.
My pleasure 😊. If you are looking for rich sounding dongle with natural/analog timbre, then between M1P and TP30 I would say very close, both of them are pleasantly organic and smooth. The key factor you need to decide now, TP30 is outright "warmer" sounding versus M1P, and offer a bit more of air with edge decays, M1P on the other hand, offer denser texture and crispness to the decay dispersal. So you decide which one appeal to you most. I hope this helps.
i heard some claim saying one of the EA500LM weaknesses lies in layering/sense of depth(not positioning) especially when used in competitive gaming. i wonder if the weakness mentioned will not be the case for casual/immersive gaming. Would appreciate your thoughts on it.
And I tend to agree with that, while it is holographic enough, it is not very sharp with imaging depth. For competitive gaming better use something like CVJ Assassin
FD11 is like half the price of EA500LM. Between the two of them, admittedly EA500LM offer improved resolution and crisper imaging, but the overall smoothness and air, FD11 to me does it a bit better than EA500LM
Need your help. I just bought EW200 and found the treble to be a bit soft and tame, not extended enough. The bass also sounds weak and light. Will the EA500LM be better than the EW200 in these aspects? Thanks
If you feel EW200 not extended enough or weak as you said it, then EA500LM will be even muted for you. I have heard some people said EW200 is bright so you can imagine the polarity here. I think what you need is something bold sounding, like ND X12

That is far from i heard. i would literally say it is one of the best IEMs in my collection surpassing KZ PR1 Pro, PR2, CCA Rhapsody, Castor (bass), KZ ZSN Pro X, Salnotes Zero, Moondrop Chu 2, Tangzu Wan'Er, TPZ Q1 Pro. The only other IEM i would put on par with EW200 is TRN Conch.
Hey there Andy! I recently saw that FiiO has released the new KA17 and i'm looking forward for your review to take a decision on it. When will you discuss about that?
Are the EA500LM & EM6L similar in tuning? they're both strong base? Which one do u think offer better sound quality, or does it depend on the music genre?
EA500LM is tuned conservatively to be more neutral and EM6L is a bit more colored and bassy. So EA500LM is a bit more transparent and EM6L a bit more enhanced sounding. If you like big Bass then EM6L perhaps will suit you better. EA500LM suited for music that require neutral and accurate tonal presentation, EM6L is more suited for electronic music, rock/metal and pop
@@AndyAudioVault thanks for your advice, very helpful. Then I think I buy both to best experiment different genres. EA500LM for jazz, blues, pop ballad, acoustic. EM6L for pop, dance, hip-hop, rock, daff funk. Now I guess what's left is something that is very transparent, detail, musical, wide stage, warm enough for classical. These shall be in consideration: EA200, EA1000 fermat, Tanchjim Origin, Binary Acoustic Chopin. Which one do u suggest among those ones? U reckon I'm going the right direction? I'm pretty new to IEM.

I have 9 DAP players. I have about 20 Chifi IEMS including OG Monarch, OG Clairvoyance, OG Oracle. I have EA500 and the LM,. both connected to most of my DAP's are silibant. Luckly they play nice with my Shanling H5. Timmy from Gizaudio nailed it, the treble is not a natural sound which is part of its allure I guess. To me, they just missed the mark on the treble. Theres so many ways to make the treble be great without silibance. The EA500 is a close soundstage and can seem congested compared to the LM. The LM soundstage is a bit further out to showcase its excellent depth and resoultion. It is a better driver but it is not as musical as the EA500.
