In some ways, I find bots to be tougher than a lot of players. They constantly change course and speed, to the point that I often just try to point blank them with torpedoes. Also, they might not be very tactical, but they will run you down while using every consumable they have; they don't really give you an option to slow-play them.
The only thing you can depend upon with bots is that they have no sense of self preservation whatsoever. When I was a noob and did the same it worked perfectly, but going back after 3 years of not playing vs bots and trying to use PvP tactics on them.... holy shit I got my ass handed to me more often than I am willing to admit... I severely overestimated WG's capabilities of writing a good and fun to play against AI.
@@Jansie_NL Apparently they have good and fun to play against AI, but the players were so bad that winrates dropped by 20% thus they switched to this mess.
You are right and wrong. If you play alone against them, you are right. Not if you aren't. The bots always concentrate fire on one target, or mostly. That is a problem and their doom at the same moment. As they will avoid nearly any torpedo you as their target throw at them, the will fully ignore other player torpedoes until they see them and even then, they are very slow in reacting to them. Same with incoming fire. They will wiggle to evade every single of their targets shells, but they completely ignore their positioning to other enemy ships or their incoming fire. So yes, they are hard to handle alone, just from the fact, that they always know where you are and I'm sure they also know when you dropped torpedoes, but in a team not so much. Even the much harder bots from the operations still have these flaws. Taken that into account Jingles is totally right. If they would have killed the only human player, they would have an easy time with the bots, especially with an aircraft carrier. But I assume they all didn't had that much knowledge of the game or the tactics involved. Let alone the CV, he has no idea what ship he is playing. The absolute power of a CV is, that he is able to move and that he isn't a stationary runway on an island. Beside the fact, that all fired while showing a lot of broadside.
@@lenorevanalstine1219 also to be fair neither of them had launched on each other since neither were spotted and were not the closest ship for RPF to tell them bearing. So straight lines had nothing to do with it.

I've seen numerous WoT matches where one team out-classed the other so badly that the superior team threw caution into the wind and everyone charged forward wanting to hog as much damage as they could, and they'd -- lose.
I would say opponents, the two destroyers especially were impressively tactical, pressuring the Mainz, capping C and then supporting Tom in the final engagement, drawing some modicum of fire and forcing the other ships to evade torpedoes. As soon as you underestimate an opponent to that degree, you're destined to die. XCOM proves that well, even if you have a 95% chance to hit, 19 times out of 20, you'll hit, so once out of every 20 "guaranteed" shots will miss, and that could spell doom for somebody else.

@@hotskunkaction I remember one of those battles. People were bitching about taking down a KT and I was like "You have to flank it!" That wasn't particularly fun.
Correct, events like this would never work in World of Tanks. The reason is often RNG and Wargaming's bad designs. The higher tier the tank is, the more likely it is that the tank has inpenetrable armour and steep angles. Then lower tiers can only deal damage when they use gold ammo, and even then it's just RNG. There used to be a time, like in War Thunder, where tanks had weak spots. They barely exist now. A tier 4 that shoots at a tier 8 will end one way: ricochets. A tier 8 that shoots a tier 4 will end one way: one shot kill.
If it was just armour it wouldn't be as much of a problem, because with a numbers advantage it's much easier to flank opponents. The real problem is the map design and the fact there are so many top-tier tanks that are waaaaay faster than they have any right to be. Like, it doesn't matter if we can't penetrate somethings front so long as we can out run and out manoeuvre it. In WoT, though, you'd get trapped in a corridor with a tank that's twice your weight and just as fast (if not faster) so there's not a lot to be done.
@@Eon2641 Well considering the is-7 is actually nerfed in both games... The is-7 had a 7 round auto-reloader and did 60 kilometers per hour over flat terrain. I understand the reasoning for balance, but your statement just isn't correct.
@@goldenhate6649 The IS-7 may have been fast irl but that doesn't mean that all the tier tens are realistically balanced lol. Looking at all those broadsides, I think TomCyrex may have been the only non-bot on either team. We've all been on the losing team in this situation. A win is essentially guaranteed, so nobody communicates and just heads off to do their own thing. Hilarity sometimes ensues.
This is what Battlecruisers were made for. Sail towards the enemy fast, club their cruisers on the head, duke it out with other battlecruisers, hope the battleships catch up to you before you end up at the bottom of the sea.
I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy the commentary from Jingles as much or more than the replays he highlights, not to say that the replays are low quality but his commentary adds a special touch.

The tier 8 team wins about 95% of the time, but in 5% of the battles you get humans that are WORSE than bots in the tier 8 team and I guess this was one of those occurences.
At least this time around it's fun. The last time is was Tier 5 & 6 vs Tier 7 & 8. There was simply no way that worked - the T5 & 6 cruisers were ludicrously paper (they're bad even against their own tiers, and completely unplayable when every opposing battleship overmatched virtually every piece of their armor, so every single BB salvo was citadel city), and every single DD had detection ranges the same as the T8 cruisers.... Heck, notorious "paper armor" Mogamis and Myokos could just farm a T5 BB to death in about 2 minutes by themselves, and still often bounce their return fire.
I like the idea of Assymetric Battles. Battle Off Samar would be an excellent one, one side with heavy, high end warships while the other side has low tier ships and 4 carriers, plus airstrikes coming from off map. That sounds like good chaotic fun.
Oh I needed that :D Unlocked my Yami again today, decided to give her a spin. Lost 3 games in a row being the only member of my team over 1k base exp in all of them. Logged out. So thanks for showing me the world isn't all doom and gloom :)
Kudos to the two guys in that first battle for having a sense of humor about it. Second battle was well done - Tom hung in there, used his brain, and the results speak for themselves. I do like the idea of asymmetric battles. A basic truth of warfare is that very very few battles in history have had closely-balanced sides. Numbers, equipment, deployment, skill and sheer luck are all variables.
Attempt # 993.4 to get Jingles to notice: When are we going to get some more Elite Dangerous, if ever again? Loved the series on that, so different from everything else on the channel and yet still perfectly Jingles!
This is one of those videos where later you're thinking that some day you may wind up on the loosing team like this and you dread seeing your name among the people who play worse then bots. I mean, I'm an average player, sometimes have great games, sometimes I /facepalm myself hard. Each time Jingles uploads a video and shows the player list I'm thinking "Please... let it not be one of those where I make a complete a$$ of myself.". :D
I have played in the Asymmetric Battles a few times since Wednesday. The two times I queued as a T9/10, I was the only player. When I queued as a T7/8, the enemy lineup was *always* a CV, T10 cruisers (x4), and a T9 cruiser.
The bots may be bad strategy wise, but since the devs are not smart enough to program intelligence into them they have instead added cheating into them. The bots can see the entire map at all times, so you cannot sneak up on one (yes i have a replay that proves this). Also if bots need to kill you to stop you from launching a key set of torps or something, they'll get you just in time. Bots will 95% of the time cause a fire with first hit on your DD, even if the shell hits the water next to it. Lots of really strange things happen, which do not against people.
Well bots may play dumb but they tend to focus fire. So, I wouldn't like to be any close to the combined firepower of a Kita, a Haru, a Mino and a Worchester. That's an all hell broke loose kind of a nightmare.
The difference in skill between a tier 6 or 7 player and a tier 10 player is staggering. I mean, the less said about the vladivostok the better, that Hipper was just... doing something... Not sure what but something. A lot of them were firing from behind islands instead of focusing him down. The carrier player was just standing there in open water and the Lyon should have stopped firing and gtfo. The tier X player however did excellent use of terrain features and manoeuvre. Well done him.
I did not catch the WoT historical battles unfortunately(my old PC could not support the game anymore) but i did enjoy the Nation VS Nation battles(or whatever they were called) , when my team was composed mostly of KV-1S (old version) and we were fighting M6 and T1 Heavies. Well, not really a fight as much as a trampling.
My favorite pastime. 1 beer. 1 heavy pour of bourbon. 1 hottub. And jingles. It does not get any better. Please I wish I could buy you your favorite beer 😀
One thing bots have over players is their literal built-in aimbot. Once they pick a target, no amount of WASD shenanigans will get them to miss said target; the hits will stream in nonstop until you break LOS. The only thing that makes them beatable is that they're programmed to sometimes target NEAR your ship rather than ON it.
Reminds me of a WoT battle I fought in in 2019. Prokhorovka, tier 3, 3 people on each team. 4 of them artillery. Gotta love the early hours. Needless to say, my US Sexton came out on top
Bots are scary because they don't blink or flinch. They go in metallic balls to the walls and will focus fire on ONE ship. Players on the other hand have a sense of self preservation and many will ignore a 3k Yamato who's about to stealth & return with 20k to instead shoot at an angled ship on full HP.
I love how bots always seem dumb but when they see a low health ship or even one that has full hp but is stupidly close they immediately turn into piranhas.

Looking at all those broadsides, I think TomCyrex may have been the only non-bot on either team.
We've all been on the losing team in this situation. A win is essentially guaranteed, so nobody communicates and just heads off to do their own thing. Hilarity sometimes ensues.
When your biggest threat are your own team mates !
Tom wasn't trapped in a game with bots. The enemy team was trapped in a game with Tom and his bot fleet!
Also happy to see these in the early morning when I have trouble sleeping! 🥰
The importance of meat shields cannot be understated. Well played by Tom.
Value for money GOOOD, WarGambling BAAAAD. Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s video!
Enemy team: you are using bots? Weak.
Tom: And I took that personally..
Greetings from a blizzard in Northern Norway Jingles!
Just wanted to tell you that starting the weekend with a cup of tea and one of your ytvideos is just absolute bliss!
Keep up the good work and thank you very much indeed! Have a nice weekend. ^^/
Our Incomparable is a 56%wr, 1557 pr player.
The opposition:
Lex is a 50% WR random player. Fine. Made a mistake.
Vladi has played almost 400 in her, has 44% wr. 500 pr player.
King George V is coop-only player (before this, I guess). 1500 coop games, NO randoms, ever.
Duke of York is 46% wr pr 913 player.
Lyon is 45%wr 519 pr
Cleveland is 42%wr 99 pr
Hipper is 48%wr 810 pr
Mainz is 45%wr 856 pr
Yorck is 43%wr 548 pr
So do not argue that WR is not a useful stat, boyz.
Dammit jingles I’m trying to not stay up till nearly 2 AM but it’s getting harder and harder
Hey we gotta man the salt mines anyways 24/7 this is our gnome overlords daily 3 am break 😂
Well the "low tier" side would still have the angry murderballs that are Fletcher-class ships.
Oh I needed that :D
Unlocked my Yami again today, decided to give her a spin. Lost 3 games in a row being the only member of my team over 1k base exp in all of them. Logged out.
So thanks for showing me the world isn't all doom and gloom :)
When I see a jingles video pop up that means I should probably be asleep.
Asymmetric battles right now in wows is a comedy event.
Ah yes. Thank you for giving me value for money jingles on a video I didn't pay for nor payed attention to the ad.
As a former Co-Op player, there's many a time the game has been lost at all tiers. Don't underestimate human incompetence, mine included.
The enemy team needs to get slapped with "Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer" phrase.
Attempt # 993.4 to get Jingles to notice: When are we going to get some more Elite Dangerous, if ever again? Loved the series on that, so different from everything else on the channel and yet still perfectly Jingles!
Akizuki is awesome and love the commentaries you both do keep it up man
Never seen anything like it before in my life, it was incomparable
Are you a dad by chance?
@@beardfistthegoldenone7273 Single, you can probably guess why
How did that shell angle like that at around 11:14?
I love your content, man ... makes me giggle along!
This Asymmetic battle mechanic may be tempting to try...
> Looks at my Yamato...
I love your warthunder videos, I understand your position but it would be nice to see a couple more
I have played in the Asymmetric Battles a few times since Wednesday. The two times I queued as a T9/10, I was the only player.
When I queued as a T7/8, the enemy lineup was *always* a CV, T10 cruisers (x4), and a T9 cruiser.
Leave it to you Jingles you never disappoint
Incomparable was like "I am not trapped in here with you, YOU are all trapped in here with me!"
Incredible.... very nice Jingles !!!
The first short clip of this video definitely 10/10, best to laughing for this year...or this month lmao
That was absolutely amazing to watch!
This may be just an illustration of how broken the Incomparable is.
Lots of really strange things happen, which do not against people.
yay another video with the Incomparable! gotta love that ridicilous ship :)
1:47 hey jingles never thought you'd actually sensor any curse word you said when talking about this game
Well bots may play dumb but they tend to focus fire.
So, I wouldn't like to be any close to the combined firepower of a Kita, a Haru, a Mino and a Worchester.
That's an all hell broke loose kind of a nightmare.
LOOOOOOOL!!!!
They had ONE JOB... just ONE JOB...
Thinking and breathing at the same time is just too hard. XD XD XD XD
WTF...The story of my life, narrated by the legendary mighty jingles 🤣
Fabulous video!
Okay this is an interesting title...
Well let's see where it leads us 😀
I did not catch the WoT historical battles unfortunately(my old PC could not support the game anymore) but i did enjoy the Nation VS Nation battles(or whatever they were called) , when my team was composed mostly of KV-1S (old version) and we were fighting M6 and T1 Heavies. Well, not really a fight as much as a trampling.
Jingles, you made my day
For something based off of the Asymmetrical Battle format, the Channel Dash might be an interest scenario to have.
My favorite pastime. 1 beer. 1 heavy pour of bourbon. 1 hottub. And jingles. It does not get any better. Please I wish I could buy you your favorite beer 😀
If he was in a CV, there would be outrage at 300k damage.
I just got the notification for this 20 seconds ago. Nice.
Akizuki deserves his own TH-cam channel.
"BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!"
OneDrunkenSailor: "Ehh, that's fiiiiine."
10:48 Your cat is adorable and sounds like a little saxophone.
Hand rubbing in anticipation for tomorrow's video!
"Value for money" lol. Jingles, You're not THAT bad, we get way more than we pay for here.
