I wish i had found you a month ago! My Buff Orpingtons are 3 weeks old and huge! This is my first season raising chicks and I had no idea how fast they grew. We had to totaly rethink our brooder two weeks ago!

Buy them a 3 1/2' Blue Kiddie swimming pool and fill it with fine powdery dirt. They take dirt baths to ward off Mites.

Im interested NEED TO SEE how fast they grow cuz I ordered 25 that come in 18 days and I need INFO, lol haven't raised chickens since I was a kid...im in Pa and winter gets COLD, so gonn have then in my heated basement to start with, so help...getting back INTO raising them, and have my who family against me for doing this, but I'm 68 and its MY TURN to live MY life, THANK YOU

Be careful, cats and dogs and almost every predator out there wants to eat your chickens. Chickens can recognize up to 85 people I have heard and are very sociable with people. Be careful a lot of people loose chickens to the heat.
