First time here. I am definitely going to paint citrus and other translucent fruit. I have a bag of tangerines in the fridge. I know of a botanical watercolorist who paints backlit flowers. Her work is gorgeous. She’s won tons of awards. “Bowsprit”
This was a pleasure to watch and so informative. We seldom see an artist working on a specific section of the painting in such detail and explanation. I like that it wasn’t necessary today to be all over an unfinished piece. This was very good focus, especially on the color mixing. Great job. Thank you.
Love that we’re seeing the finishing details. So often, we see the beginning of the painting, but not the final touches. I always wonder what the artist does off-air to complete the painting. Hoorah, I finally get to see the detail through completion.
This video was excellent, very helpful by seeing the color value demonstrated and listening at the same time. I like Adams way of demonstrating. Thank you for this video. I might try it with watercolor.
I am a watercolour painter in Canberra Aust and I find the discussion about colour and value contrast and analysis of his SO useful.Thank you for this fantastic video.

I love the fact he's using special fx brush. They are great tools in our arsenal.... somebody cut up their brush like that cause they had need to have those strokes...

This is a great lesson on color mixing and vibrancy. Strategically placing 'grey' and not using white to lighten the value is a game changer for me.
I definitely want to try this! Thank you both for the instruction and inspiration.
Wow, one of the best lessons- thanks Adam and Eric. This channel is a treasure.😊
