The Last People of Chernobyl 3 (English subtitles)

The Last People of Chernobyl 3 is an emotional documentary that sheds light on the life of samosels - people who, up to this day, have been living in the Exclusion Zone established after the nuclear plant disaster in 1986. The secluded villages they live in have no tap water or stores, often no electricity, while samosels themselves must struggle with the problems of old age. Despite living alone for thirty years, they continuously express the image of humaneness that the modern world has long forgotten.
"Someone dies here every month" - they tend to say, as if reconciled with the imminent vision they all will eventually disappear. Today, the zone is inhabited by less than 50 samosels and, most probably, it will become abandoned in the upcoming years. Thus, samosels are the last people of Chernobyl.
The movie was created by XBest Cinema (xbestcinema.pl) for Napromieniowani.pl. The production involved Amadeusz Kocan (director, operator), Bartosz Wabno (computer effects), Kinga Klakla (graphics), Krystian Machnik (producer), and Alan Bucki (music). The documentary was based on the fourth humanitarian action in Chernobyl carried out by: Krystian Machnik (organizer), Amadeusz Kocan (operator), Maciej Bogaczyk (driver, photographer), and Marek Baryshevskyi (interpreter), The list of people who provided financial support for the movie has been included in the end credits.
