Thank you. It encourages me to know that you appreciate the work that goes into making a video. Have a long way to go in my videographer career. Hope to get back to making more videos in the new year.
Thank you very much. It is comments like this one that keep me going. Sometimes I feel as I am in a TH-cam dessert and a comment like this is a cold drink of water. Thanks again.
10-4, it does help, but in the soft wood and small screws you have to be light on the trigger LOL. I also use the impact as well. I should have mentioned that in the video. Thanks for the comment, as it is much appreciated.
The concrete was brittle and crumbling. If you pay attention… I stated in the video that I would redo the concrete later. I did make a small form and did replace the concrete at the bottom!
I appreciate your skill, but just a tip from an editing perspective, 15 minutes is way too much time to spend on one hinge. You would have a lot more views if you edit this whole thing down to 15 minutes total. Great job on the door.
Very much appreciate the tip. I really really suck at shooting and editing, and will do my best to shorten in the future. YT recommends around 20 minutes. Not sure if I should keep going or not. Thanks again.
Wow I used the same decking screws and the same idea before I even watched at least I know I did it right thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video. Just what I needed to build a replacement crawl space door for the one that is rotted out at my house.
Thank you very much, glad it was helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

In my experience the impact driver will help avoid stripped screw heads.

My buddy cut 2 of his fingers off with that exact miter saw😮
Yep, most folks have no idea how dangerous a miter saw can be. It can pull the fingers into the blade just like a table saw.
Thanks for the comment and sorry to hear about your buddy
Hi can I ask what gauge masonry screws you used?
@@whyishow They were the TapKon name brand and came with the masonry bit. I believe the were number 10, 3 inch
I could not locate the clip for the Kelly Clarkson show that you referred to.
Here it is: th-cam.com/video/9dMkYB-DSoU/w-d-xo.html
Why did you remove the concrete at the bottom! The wood will last longer if it sets on top. Off away from the ground contact.
The concrete was brittle and crumbling. If you pay attention… I stated in the video that I would redo the concrete later. I did make a small form and did replace the concrete at the bottom!
Please no oop when using the saw!
Change your water filter
Should’ve centered your planks

@@classic_dude very glad to hear that is was able to help. Thanks again. Dan
Video way too long
And I didn't see the door open and close😮
Both good points Devillerider. Still new at shooting videos (no excuses), and hope to get better. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
