Thanks for this. I did something similar. You can pop the wings off and stretch the spring without taking it apart.

A good glue to try is the Plastruct Plastic Weld. It works on this kind of plastic very well, and hopefully should fix it with a bond that's much better than with super glue.

i've some layers of a thicker, translucent tape on the inside of the door lasers.
You can easily take them out for easy applying.
