I want to say this to them, so ill just say it here. Most, if not all Villain Deku have a reason on becoming a Villain besides them thinking Villainy is a better path for them. Most, are Quirkless, they got Bullied, threaten to be killed, Physically Bullied, Heroes, including All Might saying that he can't become a Hero, which drives them Insane & become Villains. The most scariest part is, their capability to determine someone's Quirk and finds out how to increase their power, or make them completely useless in battle. He's a Smart Villain, he knows MOST if not ALL Pro Heroes Quirks. Most of his Teammates are people whom was FORCED into Villainy due to the nature of their Quirks, like, their Quirks affect their way of thinking or attitude, or that their Quirks are so Villainy basing it off the Comics like Mind Based Quirks, Touched Based Quirks, and even Blood Based Quirks. It wouldn't be surprising if he works with All for One, but there are some Villain Deku's who's against All for One and the Hero Society. Like what a few people would say, anyone could be a Hero or a Villain if they're pushed enough, even the ones who's seemingly powerless or weak, you can't judge the book by its cover. But Don't forget that this also applies on him becoming a Hero.

Actually the creator never said "Now you'll react to a hero AU" nor anything about being a hero, they figured that out when seeing teh UA Training uniform, but before that all they saw was him training
