As I don't do portraits, I don't need big backdrops like that. I do have a table setup, where I use backdrops though. White, black, cobalt blue, red (not sure what the exact name is, but Nikon red, if you know what I mean) and green (again, I don't remember the exact name, but basically "pool table" green). I like the idea of your yellow though... Perhaps a color to add to my collection.
Could a photographer use a green screen or is that just for video? Also wondering pros and cons of just changing the background color after in Photoshop?

What material is it?
Its worth subscribing just for the life advice "if somebody has a purple bedroom... that's in itself a red flag!" - priceless:) . NOw a photography question. Why do you prefer paper backgrounds from fabric ones?

You totally can! Or even a flat sheet would work too or any fabric or even wrapping paper xX
Why not get a neutral gray paper and use a rgb light and it can be any color you want? Cheaper long run no?
So I’ve never used backdrop paper before... is this a use and then cut off used portion and throw away?? Or how do you keep them clean
You shouldn't need to cut it off every shoot. I've only needed to do that with my yellow paper that I've used more than the others. The only reason you would need to really cut it is if you had the paper rolled onto the floor and if it got dirty or let's say it kind of wrinkled up. xX

Would these work for a cake smash?
Yes because you can just cut off and recycle the part of the paper that has cake on it. But there are also vinyl backdrops that might work better for it if you want to just wipe them off. However I'm not sure how shiny they are!
