My Fifty First Beat in FL Studio

I decided to go back to the basics and just find a soul - like sample. I now know that I need to get better at mixing, and learn some sort of music theory. I found this sample and lines the beat up with it. I also chopped up the sample a little. This is good, but I need to learn a lot more. - 7/10

drums actually sound really good, you're progressing, try adding an 808 or a bass and cut the one from the sample as it doesn't sound great, it really is a good beat

i like it, but to fill in empty space add possibly a lead or plucks in to make it catchier. Adds the little bit of per fection you need.

small tip, try adding plucks to fill the empty space with something catchy. Do this when you use samples, makes it more authentic!
