I can watch this one again and again. I was fortunate to attend several performances of this wall tour but the final show in Quebec City on the plains of Abraham was is and probably always will be the greatest concert experience of my life, and I have been to over a thousand different shows.
I was standing 10feet from the soundboard. I had some of the best seats for this show. I was not disappointed. I seen them at 13 in the 80s. Became a Gilmour fan and started to learn the guitar.
I have a feeling that they might have transposed the song down from a D minor scale to a C minor scale for this performance, and that's why the guitar sounds off. I don't know, though. I kinda like it
@@Octanetwisted1983 and it was done because Roger can’t sing as high as he used to. I mean it’s not bad but you can tell he can’t belt it out as high as he used too
Why does the guitar sound like a synthesizer? It should be meatier. I'm more of a Roger fan than Gilmour's version of Floyd, but this version makes me want to see them all back together as opposed to apart. Nice visuals, though.
Much more Pink Floyd than Gilmour could ever hope to be. However, we should all wish them two would resolve their issues n get on with a new real Pink Floyd album not just any diversionary bell side project branded as Floyd.
roger obviously has a lot to say for the best of the floyd sound but to be honest, i think how the other members perhaps tempered roger's desire to get his messages across was a good thing, and when they werent here such as on this tour, you just end up getting it rammed down your throat. I'm actually all for the majority of what he says but first and foremost I think most people like floyd for the music rather than message in the lyrics. must have been a bloody nightmare for the rest of them to have to work with him all those years lol

+Mitch Farkas I saw Pink Floyd in 1988 and 1994. If Roger Waters isn't singing it ... it REALLY doesn't sound right! Gilmour and Scott Page made a mockery of the lyrics. It felt "campy". This is the best version that's ever been done, IMO. It was already fantastic in the 80/81 concerts, but this is yet better. Aaand . . . I agree, but Rogers is suppost to be different he uses a C cord to make the song seen more Erie. the normal run like Hell uses a D cord to sound more Stressful. If that makes since.
@@BenCulture Scott Page was the saxophone player. It was David Gilmour and bassist Guy Pratt who sang that song. How in the world did they make that song campy?
I think the exact oposite. Waters is a rebel, this is rebelious music. Gilmour is a nice guy, he is not a rebel. Thats why Animals and The Wall I prefer coming from Waters.
I absolutely agree. I think David Gilmour is a much better musician, live performer, and human being than Roger Waters will ever be. Then again, just my opinion.

When Roger Waters plays at Ball Arena in Denver in 2022, this is the song I look forward to him playing.
and another brick in the wall of course
I really hope he does
He cancelled the show mate

My favorite version. It is so crazy, sometimes I think that I am listening to Ummagumma.
That's my love Roger Waters he has been my babe since the early 60s I love all his music he has the best songs
I was surprised to see Steve Bannon up there!
The cool voice.

Me e perdido 2 veces a Roger waters en chile ojalá pase el puto covid para poder verlo y cumplir mi sueño
Was this how Roger first pictured The Wall?
Yes, cause he's a visionary
I have a feeling that they might have transposed the song down from a D minor scale to a C minor scale for this performance, and that's why the guitar sounds off. I don't know, though. I kinda like it
Yes you are correct they lowered it a whole step down to C.

It is a synthesizer.
It's no synth. It's in drop C (CGCFAD) . Sadly the bass is not.
I like Gilmour’s live version of this song much better
Enjoy yourselves ...
