Enjoyed your sweet love story for nail polish. Your videos have taught me to enjoy taking some time out for myself, daughters, and friends to do mani’s together. I’ve learned so much over the last couple of years about regular, and gel nail polish, tips, and tricks, and proper nail care, and maintenance. Thanks for sharing your love of nail polish, and continued teaching. ❤️
Thank you for sharing this with us!!! It is such a lovely story, your narration made me keep a smile all the time. BTW I thik yellow was the perfect color for this story 💛 it is bright and beautiful.
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! It was fun to walk down mani memory lane haha. And thank you - the color is what inspired me to share the story since it was so similar that the first yellow manicure I got at a salon. I appreciate you watching & sharing the feedback!! :)
Your videos have inspired me to truly take care of my nails. I’m in rehab mode with them now after hard gel/improper removal 😩 slow and steady wins the race right, lol
You got me Into nails. I always hated my nails and were horrible at painting them. I watched one of your gel polish videos back in 2019 and now I’m hooked and my collection has gotten out of control. Now I even have my own nail channel. You are a true influencer 😁
Coolest comment ever!!!!! 🤩 That’s amazing, congratulations on your channel! Manicures are a universally beloved beauty experience & it’s amazing that something so small has the ability to bring a lot of people together. 💅🏼💅🏼
Loved this! I’ve been in the process of moving for the past two weeks and haven’t been doing my nails regularly. So excited to get moved in and sit down to do a full manicure!
Thank you so much for watching and congratulations on your move! I totally understand that feeling...we're actually gearing up to move in the next month or so and I'm already preparing to have a bunch of broken, unpolished nails until we get settled. Enjoy your first full manicure post-move!! :)
I’m reading The first mistake by Sandie Jones. It’s pretty good so far. I feel we’re a lot alike. I’m 39 now and I’ve been painting my own nails since elementary school. I used to change my nail color every night too in high school. My game changer was when I found out to put white under neon nails.
I’ll have to check out that book. Thanks for sharing! And I love that, having nails to match the outfit was everything when we were young. It was always fun when you’d discover something that would change the nail game for you - the white under neon is a must!! Thanks for watching 😁💗
That's so kind of you to say! Thank you!!! I'd love to share move videos like this. And YAY! So glad you've been loving it - so many great reviews on that one!
It really can be such a relaxing process! There’s nothing like setting aside a little time to chill out and paint your nails. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!💛
lol Ive been a nail tech off and on for 10 years as a guy. Didn't really appreciate nails until recently. When I did nails, I had a mental incapacity that prevented me from being able to shape the nails correctly and polishing them smoothly lol. But recently I figured out what I was doing wrong. So watching you paint nails smoothly is very therapuetic for me. One tip I would give you is to get a better camera so that when you are painting, we can see the quality better. OPI has some really high quality videos. You are a good painter so it would be a good investment. With Gelish, I wonder if you can go even thinner while still being smooth, because it kinda looks thick still. CND is the best brand imo lol. You can't get the same clarity and shine like with CND shellac.
Thank you for sharing and I love that shade of yellow, I have a similar one on my nails from Ella + Mila that's named Limoncello. The brush takes a bit of practice and patience but I got this color opaque in two coats.
Thanks so much for watching! I still have to try Ella + Mila polishes - how do you like their line overall? PS: Limoncello is the *perfect* name for a yellow polish!
Amanda, great video. I wish all my nail beds were even like yours. Mine are so narrow and small and different sizes. If I tried to use that yellow it would be so streaky.
Oh no! Have you tried reshaping them so they look more even? Pushing the smaller nail beds back and to the side may help them appear more similar to the others. You could definitely get away with this yellow - two coats gives perfect coverage! :)
What is your favorite gel polish kit to use & where do you purchase it? Is it still gellish?? I love gel polish however, i dont love the price of it at Salons & i found myself saying the samething...I can do this at home...just as good for a fraction of the cost. I Just found your channel by searching removal of gel polish from toes & now I found myself thumbing thru your channel. So much great tips. Love how you narrated this vlog. Gonna explore some more thru your channel.👍
Great story about the beginning of your nail career :-) Love the yellow polish! I must be doing something wrong, because every time that I use a gel polish it ruins my nails for months. They become weak and bendy.
Thanks for watching! ❤️ And oh no - that shouldn’t be happening. Are you over-prepping the nails & removing the polish properly? 🙏🏼 The culprit isn’t normally the polish itself. The prep & removal are usually to blame for any damage or weakness. 😭
Have you tried the Bettles brand? Also have you ever tried using regular polish with a Gel top coat/Lamp cure ? I like you have quite a collection of regular polish and I want to get into gel.
I haven’t tried Bettles! I’ll have to look into it - thanks for sharing! I haven’t ever tried regular polish underneath a gel topcoat, but many people have said it works - I may have to give it a shot one of these days! ❤️💅🏼
Wonderful video and content.....learned so much more about you and the love of color/nails. Amanda keep doing what you do and we look forward to hearing more. What are your degrees in?? Thanks
Thank you so much! Just some alcohol to remove the sticky residue from the top coat after curing - all Gelish products leave that little bit of stickiness, but it comes off no problem!
Nope, it's a gel polish (from Gelish)! The regular version of this color is available from Morgan Taylor - I tried to link both in the description. The color is from a 2019 collection so it's been hard to track down. :(
What a nice story I really relate to, I would like to share my story about how I found the nail gel, although it is a bit long. I was always a house girl, I didn't go out much, and I remember that on a trip my mother made to the city (when I was more or less in high school) she brought me some nail polish; And that was the beginning of my hobby, because I had a lot of fun playing with colors and shapes, and I was glad that people or my classmates liked my designs so much. It was a long time (until I was going to college) and I was already going to salons to get my gel nails professionally done, until the global lockdown came. It had been a while since that and they could open non-essential businesses, so I looked for nail salons near my house so as not to expose myself as much. I arrived at a place with good references in Google, but nothing could be further from the truth, I was the first date of the day, and when I arrived, the site was closed! (I must have realized something there) obviously I called him on the phone and it took a while but he arrived, and I pretended not to bother me, so I went in, and then I realized that the place was not very pretty, it was rather neglected but I also pretended dementia, anyway , he was already applying the gel, when I realized that with the same brush that he prepared my nail... he also used it to clean the table!! (and the table didn't look very clean either) at that moment I felt so bad, but because of my shy personality I couldn't say anything, as unpleasant as it seemed to me. By the time I got home I was very ill, I felt that my nails had been infected by some fungus or something like that and I only prayed to be able to remove them, by the time I managed to remove those nails, I promised not to return to any salon for more good references that I had on google, and instead of that I started to buy my own gels, utensils, disinfectants, lamp, etc, to do my nails myself and not go through bad experiences again. I admit that my first gel nails (which I did myself) were a disaster but over time I have gained more control and confidence to the point that they look like they were done by a professional XD and well that was the story and I think it has a happy ending 😂 I'm sorry if it's not fully understood, use google translator XD.
WOW! This is such a great story! Thank you so much for taking the time to translate so I could read it. I love how you fell in love with nail polish at a young age and then eventually taught yourself to do your own gel manicures at home! The pandemic allowed a lot of people to test drive their manicure skills and it sounds like you found your groove! It's such a satisfying and gratifying task to be able to treat ourselves to a salon worthy experience. Thank you for watching & sharing this with me. I appreciate it so much! :)

Omg the Parent Trap poker color was everything!!! 😍😍
It really was!! To this day, I haven’t been able to find an exact replica! 💙💙
@@AmandaBellaa Same here!! I always tried to match it

@@AmandaBellaa Their polishes are fantastic, I can get about 10 days of wear out of them. And it is the perfect name for a yellow polish.
I do love this video….thanks for sharing!!!

Love this color! Could you share what lamp you use? Didn’t see a link for it.
The lamp that I have is so old they don't make it anymore. :( I just linked a great one in the description box though!
I love this video so much ❤️
