Dhritarastra proving himself by putting the normal citizens in danger goes against dharma. So, that's why he is not the right person to have a throne. And he is the main antagonist of the whole Mahabharatam

Gandhari, received a boon to bear a hundred children. Yuyutsu was paternal half - sibling to Gandhari's children. Because Yuyutsu born for Sunanda (Gandhari's maid) and Dhritarashtra. In context Gandhari has 99 son and 1 daughter by her own. Base on what I understand.

Yes it is true that subala had 11 daughters and one son in his principle wife . He did have sons in the other wives all of whom fought for Kauravas in the Kurukshetra war . Which is why the entire story of Bheeshma starving Subala and his 11 sons and killing them thus justifying Sakuni’s misdeeds as revenge is entirely false and a recent falsified story

I feel if someone dies while performing sexual act most likely he had serious congenital heart condition may VSD or something similar to that. So he is not fit to be King of hastinapura.I feel sorry for Kauravas
king should be be one who always prioritise country first and family second. by that logic dhyutrastra is also not fit for king of hastinapur because dhyutrastra was always concerned about his family rather than country(hastinapur)

Because a king with impairment is considered weak and his defect can easily be used against him and can be manipulated
