    Presearch is one of my favorite crypto projects and my top choice for a beginner who is looking to get into running crypto nodes. It's even great if you are not a beginner because the project is really awesome. I wanted to put a tutorial out that was a complete guide from start to finish of buying PRE to launching a node. If you want to buy a crypto passive income strategy, then this is a great way to start. The nodes aren't super expensive (yet), they are easy to set up, and the skills you learn here will help with setting up other nodes. ▼▼

    A few important extra things to note:
    1) Rewards. Right now each node earns between 1-1.5 PRE per day. Or about $10-12 a month. If this project really takes off, those rewards will be worth a lot more AND the rewards will increase with adoption. This is an early node play for the long-term... which is why I'm excited about it.
    2) You MUST put some money on UpCloud BEFORE you deploy. Can just be $5-10. But you have to pay a little money to UpCloud. Otherwise you will be on the free tier and the server will give errors and your PRE node won't show up. If you didn't do this, you need to delete your server, add some money, then deploy a new server.
    3) Save your SSH password you created. If you need to login to the server via Putty, you will use that password to login. There are tons of great videos on how to login with Putty... but with my tutorial you won't need to when you set it up to keep it easy.
    4) If your node isn't showing up in your PRE dashboard, then it's likely the above issue, or an SSH problem. Some people have had this issue when generating the SSH key with a mac. So you either need to follow my steps and do it with a PC, or try just setting up the server with the password option instead of an SSH key.
    5) If you need more help, join my community, I'd be happy to help you AND you'll get access to a ton of amazing crypto passive income knowledge! links.zzzmoneyclub.com/SignUp
    Best of luck out there!

      Question: No additional rewards given for more staked per node? So just do the 2,000 PRE and then launch a new node?
      Also, does UpCloud charge the $5 per server? Or can you get a better plan to launch multiple nodes on one account.

    • @RoiPourpre
      @RoiPourpre 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Only 1.5 PRE per day ? You can make 8 PRE per day by doing a lot of search lol , I won 1 PRE in less than 10 mins...

      so you have back your initial investment in about 5 years? that's pretty damn bad. So i better stick with the tokens itself than to make a node right?

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@roadmapmoney Once you stake the 2000 PRE and launch the node, you will start earning more PRE. Sorry not sure what you are asking. Yes UpCloud charges $5 per node. You can go cheaper with something like RackNerd or free with AWS EC2, but the setup is a bit more complicated so I didn't cover those.

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@RoiPourpre 1.5 per day right now. This will go up as the project gains adoption and as they turn on more features. You need to have a long-term outlook with something like this. It's still early. Also you have a cap our your Pre earned with search. I do both.

    Thanks Andy for another great video. After researching further on my own and watching several interviews with the founder / CEO, I decided today to jump in with my first Presearch node. I also agree, this is a long term play that seems a little more secure than some of the others (Wonderland, for example; :) ). I like that the Presearch tokens have some utility behind them, that the creator is doxed and actively/openly promoting the project, and that the financial commitments are relatively small. There's always risk, but the basics for this project are visible to everyone, which puts it ahead of a lot of other projects in the world of crypto (in my opinion). I'm looking forward to big gains in the future.

    • @Tacosmix
      @Tacosmix 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I could not agree more! After looking at several other node options, this is the first healthy one with also a coin that is easily tradable. I believe we will see much more growth. Entry price of 2000 PRE is acceptable. Fine if rewards about cover hosting cost now. Also great learning experience!

    Hi There! Great video. I just wanted to follow up on a comment made at 16:40 as there are definitely benefits to having a higher staking amount than the minimum.
    Page 35 of the Presearch whitepaper says this;
    "Through Node Staking, node operators can reserve the right to provide a predetermined amount of capacity based upon the size of their PRE stake. This ultimately enables node operators to also secure a predetermined allocation of Node Rewards for that capacity. This means that node operators who stake more PRE are going to be more profitable than those that stake less PRE. This provides a needed mechanism for reliable node operators who are potentially running expensive, fixed server farms to commit PRE as a stake to secure stability in their Node Rewards payouts, while still allowing anyone else to operate a node but receive potentially more variable Node Rewards"

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching Jacob! And yes, you are very correct. I learned this after I made the video. The benefits of staking more don't outweigh just creating more nodes as far as I can tell, but it's a great option for folks who want to earn more, but don't want to run more servers.

    Thanks for the video- not sure if I missed it in the video but does the node on Presearch require your computer to be online 24/7 or is similar to StrongBlock where they maintain the running of the node?

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you run this on a cloud server (like UpCloud in the video), then that server runs 24/7 so you don't have to run your computer 24/7. You install it on the VPS and then you are good.

      Thanks for watching! You have two choices when setting up the VPS for security. Setting an SSH key (more secure) and setting a standard password. You can see both options when I show the VPS. I just prefer the SSH and it's not hard to do, so I show that. If you ever need to login to your cloud server, you will use a putty terminal window (looks like windows DOS) to connect. You use your SSH key to connect and you use the SSH key password you created. You don't need to do all that stuff when setting up though. I kept is easy in the tutorial! Hope that doesn't confuse further!

    Just want to mention that, although not 100% certain but in some of their ads they say that, when choosing a node to go to or keyword ad to show they decide on it based on how much PRE is staked, so if in the vicinity of the user there are 3 nodes, the one with most PRE staked will win to serve the user. So there is some benefit to stake more than the minimum I think

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right now Presearch nodes make 1.6 PRE per day on average. PRE nodes are still in testnet. When they go to mainnet, when there is more adoption, and when the price goes up, the rewards will go up and be worth more. So if your goal is to earn another node with your node, then yes it takes awhile now, but it might take a lot less time in the future. This is still early. Thanks for watching!

    • @YourFriendAndy

      You earn more PRE with more nodes than 1 big node with more PRE. If you just want it to be easy to manage, you can just run 1 node with more PRE on it. You gain 1-1.5 PRE per day with a node and you only gain 0.3 PRE per day more with each additional 1K PRE you stake on a node. Best of luck!
