During the time of Jesus, there were people living with the name "John" like John the Baptist, John the Apostle and John the Revelator, etc and there could have been more Johns around Jesus time. How come the verse says there was no-one ever been given the name before? Is the Quran corrupted or manmade? If quran was Word of God, this mistake wouldn't be there. Muslims say the Quran was given directly from God. If so, can this God forget there was a person who lived before by that name, John?

I am a Christian too, I have worked on Cruise ships for many years and travelled to the USA, Europe, Australia and many other Western countries, and what I have noticed is in the West there are very few people going to Church, I have seen more people lining up outside pubs, bars etc, young people drunk and partying until 3 a.m.. Many people are high on drugs, they are school dropouts and are from broken families and the crime is very high. Even though in the West the majority call themselves Christians, but in reality there are very few who follow Christ, they celebrate Christmas just to exchange gifts and to eat and drink, the Churches are mostly empty. I see that most the old Churches in the UK and in Europe are being converted into Mosques, because they are unable to sustain the expenditure and maintain the Church as there is no attendance. The West is in a sorry state, people are not getting married, and they are not having Children anymore, and their populations are declining, and illegal migrants mostly from Muslim nations out of Africa and the middle East are entering Europe, and they are slowly becoming the majority.
