I think he's one of those people who watch a LOT of smash content but don't actually play smash so they're aware of the memes/techniques stuff but aren't good at smash. He was saying "sword character" probably because he's watched a lot of videos saying sword characters are annoying, and then yeah, dies because he doesn't know how to recover, not because of sword characters (Roy especially) being dumb
