Bochi the Rock is the Mother of References in anime.
Everybody's sleeping on Bocchi when IT IS one of the best anime that came out last year. Barely anyone reacted to it and I'm really glad you picked it up. S-tier comedy!
Maybe at the beginning that was true, but by it’s season finale it was pretty widely recognized as the best anime of the season among many anime circles
@@succulentus2771 yeah it didn't have the biggest reception at first, but by the end of the season a lot of people were talking about it online. In Japan the show was actually a huge hit, bocchi has already sold a lot more blurays than chainsawman has

I loved Bocchi, saw a ton of people talk about it online, decided to watch and I think it’s my favorite anime of 2022. You can tell it was truly a very loved passion project.

@@themanguy2110 as Gigguk described in his “phases of an anime fan” video, there’s only one high and the rest of watching anime is trying to recapture that feeling of watching your favorite/the best anime. At least that’s how I think he put it. I started watching anime senior year of high school, and in my mind I’ve found a lot of favorites since my first show. So hopefully you’ll find those also!
@@themanguy2110 Well not really, this is very good but I wouldn't call it peak anime, kaguya-sama, spy x family, my dress up darling, etc are just as good tbh.
You're gonna love this one, I certainly did. The jumps in animation style they make for the gags and what they do for the serious parts are amazing

This is one of those anime i saw while being burnout of watching animes and now i'm fucking sad it's too short.
This is my actual "i came looking for Copper and i found GOLD" moment.
You know i wanna add, most successful introverts are still introverts, but they just upgraded their social skills and adapting from experience but they are still loner(by choice) and needs recharging every once in a while. I am one of those introvert but my best friends are party animals, i love them with all my heart for (force) exposing me to the world.
And they respect and understand me if sometimes i might not wanna go with them because i'm just tired or not in the mood.
The feeling of happiness an introverted person have, when people keep inviting them, not to be rude, but time after time rejecting invitations is amazing, being wanted is awesome, being at home is awesome, being secure is awesome.
Now i'm not shy learning someone new and polite enough to ask first, i used to get intimidated by literally everyone, the insecurity, OH THE INSECURITY...i'm cringing hard right now.
But i gotta say becoming a socially adept intorvert is hard, i hurted a lot of people when i was young, getting ostracized, and learned a lot from it, remembering those memories and learning from it is painful even to this day.
Now i have no enemy and i hope never will.
This is such a good anime to binge watch. I binged watched it all in 2 days and I was happy for a whole week.

All female bands in japan is kinda a hit. They have Zone, scandal, tricot, band-maid, bridear, dollsboxx, the peggies (bunny senpai op), exist trace, gacharic spin, marys blood, aldious and lovebites are the ones that are on top of my head.
From this list, I only recognize Band-Maid lol

I loved the appeal of this Anime was huge when i saw so many Bocchi cosplay from male and females at Anime Expo this year.
Yeah, this was my favorite show of 2022! I'm really looking forward to the concert episodes.
K-On and Sound Euphonium are anime series also about girl bands.
I just started this myself, on episode 3. I was sold the moment Bocchi repeatedly hit her head on the floor remembering embarrassing moments. I'm 31 now and socially mature, but her reaction there was so relatable as someone who was very shy back in school. I also laughed pretty hard at the fake credit sequence in this episode, especially because Bocchi is credited as the "Water Flea", which she compared herself to for being the weak link.

When you're finished with all episodes you should react to the bands music. there's a track for every one of their characters.
Bocchi reminds me of futaba from p5. With her box and how futaba had her box on her head or a mask when she was working at sojiro place and meeting with joker and all them
Kessoku means connection, Kessoku Band means ziptie. Band just means band. So it's like a band of connections, and also a ziptie. It's a bad wordpun. Also, yeah this show is fantastic. Definitely keep watching it with good headphones in stereo, it's so worth it later on.

Oh HELL YEAH, this series, alongside Akiba Maid War, is one of the secret best animes of the season
The fake end credits scene gag got alot of people. It's one of the funniest parts of the first episode. This show didn't really take off until about 2 or 3 weeks after it came out. Then it consistently made the top 10 anime of the week on many different lists. Eventually getting voted by many as the best Anime of the Fall 2022 season.
Since my first post I have returned to Japan and visited a number of real life anime locations..including many of those in "Bocchi The Rock"...I even sat on the same swing Hitori is sat on when Nijika first finds her in Ep.1. I also visited locations for "Super CUB", "Non Non Biyori", "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" and "Mitsuboshi Colors"....Wish I could have done more..but time and money always an issue.
Oh SHIT Alana hopping onto Bocchi? I've already watched it twice, why not re-watch it via reaction channel lmfao

Finally, a new english reaction to Bocchi the Goat. Btw, this anime is already slap since episode 1, and a lot of people are talking about it, but there are little to no reaction on youtube because nobody expect it to be this good. That's why we are hyping it up until the last episode because everyone needs to see this masterpiece, at least one time in their life, just like breaking bad.

Fun fact I learned: Bocchi the Rock has episode titles related to Asian Kung Fu Generation songs, even the main character's last names are the same as the band members of AKFG.
As a casual fan of the band, I really appreciated this fun fact, The episode title Jumping Girls was what got me curious..it wasn't until the episode title After Dark and the last episode was when I realized the AKFG connection.

Bocchi The Rock is the first anime that Is too Relatable, to the point I want season 2
You said that you haven't seen medias focusing on girl band like this one, and from looking at your reaction list, I'm guessing you aren't familiar with the genre of "girls doing cute thing" at all. A similar famous girl band anime is "K-on". These kinds of anime are usually just wholesome and simple slice of life, including girls camping (Yuru camp), girls working at a cafe (Gochūmon wa Usagi desu ka?), girls idol (The IdolMaster series, Love live series). Or my personal favorite, just girls at high school with an absurd amount of comedy, Asobi asobase.
