I'm Polish and I'd like to relate to the racism issue you addressed, basically confirming what you said. Very briefly. The staring or just looking (some black people are very sensitive on this) is in 95% of such cases driven by curiosity, not racism (Poland has always been and still is an almost fully 100% white society). Avoiding close contact (for example, sitting by side in a bus), again, 95% of such attitudes is driven by shyness, not racism (many Poles still don't speak well any foreign language, so they want to avoid embarassment when asked for something in English etc. and being unable to respond). The general rule is simple - be open and friendly to Poles, they will react likewise. Obey the local rules. And - try to learn some basic Polish, dear newcomers. I know it takes some effort, but it's not as impossible as some people say to justify their inactivity in this regard.

I recommend the André Traveler channel. This is a very funny channel. André often travels around Poland. He usually visits villages and small towns and looks for Polish food. His delicacy is "metka cebulowa", a type of raw sausage spread on bread.

Hello, thank you for stopping by, 🫶For PR it’s 5years if you came on a work visa, same as if you came as a student, but you will have to count each year as a student as half. So if you studied for 3years , it will count as 11/2 years so you will need to work for 31/2 years more to make up 5years . So that’s the difference . Honestly Poland is underrated. It is genuinely one of the best countries to live in , in Europe .
