Not sure if this has been already covered but Danilo (the ferryman) lost his boat in June. It was sunk and the outboard stolen. Insurance will cover some of the replacement cost but there is an appeal to raise the balance. Details are on the website of the Confraternity of Pilgrims to Rome website for those interested. I know how much you loved the crossing!
yes I heard. such a shame, crossing the Po with Danilo was a highlight of the via in Italy. I believe he's got a new boat already. I'm correctly following a friend on who's walking in Italy and he crossed the Po with Danilo.
Hi! Had to laugh when you mentioned "can you believe I'm in a speck of a town and they have defibrillator!" I laughed so hard! But honestly so many of the very small Italian towns are aging significantly and their children do not move back. Hence the need for a defibrillator. Btw I am an RN, operating room. Enjoying so much all of your Vlogs. Will be purchasing your GPS tracks for the Frances.

Efren, are you on the Francigena presently? Which Caminos have you done, and when? Love watching. Will be heading back to the Cam this springtime hopefully for the Portuguese. Addicted. It’s all we think about.
thank you Hillary. I finished the francigena October 10, 2018. the following year I walked the Portuguese, del norte and ingles from mid March to the begin of May. I'm currently in the process o editing the vlogs.
Thanks Efren. When did you walk the Camino Frances? Any plans to walk others? My husband and I want to walk them all, and God willing we will be able. I’ve never known or experienced such an abundance of peace. We walked the French Way in September of 2018, and the Primitivo in September of 2019. Thank you for your hard work on these vlogs. Such a nice way to begin and end my days. So looking forward to walking the Portuguese, hopefully in May/June of this year. 😊 Hilary
