The pub with no customers lol... Im surprised you didn't go into the relocated old church out the back with the beer cans display... The lease seems to change hands every few years, and new management tries different things... Great beer garden...
They used to allow camping in the paddock at the side. There are a couple of pay per use (I think) towards the back left corner. Our No. 2 rider took a customer there, but the pub had no gas, so only toasties on the menu. lol The Pub With no Beer is The Pub With no Gas! That's a great discovery you made.
I still remember the song being player on the radio in the early 1960's in Denmark, and my father singing along. Little did I know at the time, a few years later, I was to call Australia my new home.
Thanks for the map too Phil. The old car with the tree - to me it looks like a Vanguard. From Wikipedia, "The Standard Vanguard is a car which was produced by the Standard Motor Company in Coventry, England, from 1947 until 1963."
Years ago we went there. We where travelling back from down south and stopped for fuel at Macksville. Girl who served us asked if we were heading to the Pub with no beer festival., which we had no idea of. It was it's first one and the pub (not a pub) was just a small building. Was a massive weekend.
Awesome mate nice ride!! She’s a bloody cool old pub! Plenty of history! I might have been tempted by a cold refreshment in that humidity🤣🍻 Cheers mate!
lovely roads indeed.....great place to be living...plus 30...we're minus 2 today and just had a dusting of snow....wanna trade places? Love to try that burger....my favorite food. Garth
Good ride there Phil. I miss the exploring sub tropical rainforest scrub. Different drier scrub up here. Stopped there at Taylor’s Arms two years ago on bikes. Cheers
That old car that I think you thought was a Holden, looks to me like a (circa) 1958 Rover P4, and I think I could be right, but stand to be corrected. Nice vid. Cheers.
Another great episode. Where is the last little picnic area you finished the video at? I see it looks like you were heading north over Congarinni Bridge, but not sure where that little spot with the boat ramp is. Looks like a good spot for a fish 👍
Cheers mate. It's a place called Pioneer Park, about 4 kays up river from the bridge (on the north side of the river) Great little spot, small, hard to see driveway into it. If you cross a small concrete bridge, you're gone 50 meters too far 😎👍
Another top notch video mate. Enjoyed every minute of it.! Out of curiosity, what’s yar go-to video settings for your main camera ,the Osmo 3? Do you do any colour correction of the raw video before posting to TH-cam? PS: A few bourbons are waiting for you. 😎
Many thanks Sean! I replied to you post on "Buy me a Coffee" but here it is if you can find it. Cheers buddy 😎👍 "with the DJI 3 settings, I use 4k - 30 FPS and Auto white balance. Very rarely alter the final image as the camera has great auto exposure and very rich saturation. For audio, I have a DJI wireless mic fixed in the chin area of my helmet, and I take it out when I do the talking to camera and put it in my shirt or on my jacket. hope that helps a bit. More questions, just ask mate 👍"
I've now also had to let go of my old Windows system Lenovo Laptop, as it just can't handle 4K editing even at 20Fps even though the laptop has 16GB of RAM. So, I have ordered a completely new setup with the heart of the system being a new Mini Mac 4 (Base model 16GB Ram 256GB internal storage) I will be adding a 1TB external Hard drive to the Mac Mini 4. Entire new desktop system cost me $1,591. Australian (Mac Mini + External HD + Wireless keyboard + semiprofessional 27" Monitor) A full blowen PC equivalent would cost me at least $1,000 to $1,500 more. I've watched and read, at least 50 reviews on new Mac Mini 4. From what they show, it should easily be capable of editing of 4K, 30 to 60Fps video! It can even handle 6K editing if not pushed too hard. Have never owned a Mac PC before, (Have been using Windows PC's since the 1980's) so it will be a bit of a steep learning curve getting use to a Mac PC.
@@seanb1081 Sounds like a serious set up Sean! I've been editing with only an 8 gb of ram laptop (running through a 4 k - 31 " 4K monitor. Works fine. Will go 16 gb laptop when this one dies 👍
@@MidCoastAdventures You must have yourself a good laptop! I have a 2021 "Lenova Yoga" laptop. When running "CapCut" as my video editing program with 8-9 GB Ram free, it still can't handle 4K video. I recon the culprit is the crappy on board graphics card that can't be upgraded. PS: What program do you use for video editing, Phil (please) 😶
Hey Phil do me a favour, can u just reply to this comment, I think TH-cam has blocked me, so I'm not sure anybody is getting my messages please. Top ride, ur blogs just chill me out thanks💯🤙
nice work mate-- i loved my drz but hated in on anything over 90kmh, i had 15 44 gearing and it was horrendous, but awesome off road, what are you running sprocket wise?
Hey mate. I'm running 15-43 combo. It's fine sitting on around 95 kph. Over that starts to vibrate a bit. Not ideal but may get a new (additional) bike next year 👍

It was definitely empty! Wandered out the beer shrine...lol but didn't film it. Cheers 🍻

It's an iconic place! And cool story about moving from Denmark to Aus 😎👍
Interesting you said the road from Kempsey was closed.
Our favourite is through Willawarin and Hickey's Creek. About 26 km of dirt.
Thanks for the map too Phil.

Minus 2! Damn, don't think my freezer even gets that cold...lol Catch ya Garth 👍
The cicadas are pretty full on this year aren't they? Another top trip Phil!
Must be billions of them this year! Apparently, they're the loudest insects on earth...
I didn't know about the burger joint. I'll have a look for it next time.
Nor did I. Chill spot to hang, and a great burger 👍

Cheers Ron. It's nice in there, quite a wet environment compared to Central qld.
Great pub I was there 3 weeks ago on the 450MT
