Over 16 years ago I watched this commercial for the first time and every now and then this random tune will jump into my head, despite having not seen this in over a decade, until now.
Went to Jamaica for the first time ever last week and this commercial somehow found it’s way out of the archives of my brain and the internet search was on. SO GLAD someone has archived it as it’s one of my favorites - and a lot of these Red Stripe ones still hold up. 👍🏻 Hooray Beer!
This guy is the best reggae, and only true reggae dancer I can find on TH-cam. The rest is scantily clad Sean Paul fans bustin' a move to something that is just not true Reggae.
We take it personally because every commercial makes the black guy look smart and the white guy look dumb. Laughing at this makes you look like an idiot. I don't know if you realize this or not but there is a silent war going on right now. The kind no one will really win. Ever since globalists came into existence this whole fucking country has gone down the toilet.
@@vitalityfox Just came across your response here. While I disagree with you on the globalists thing, I DO believe that it is VERY important that one has a sense of humor and that the ability to laugh at oneself is a healthy thing to achieve. It reduces the power of the ego and just let you enjoy life's little absurdities. Well done sir!
damn i was looking at older comments to see if the name of the song was ther and the second to last guy was right, in the description the link to the site fluidny has the music and it was made for this commercial only
@AlexRGravlin This backing track is very typical of the earliest reggae, circa 1968-1970. Look up "Skinhead reggae" (the earliest skinheads were huge reggae fans, oddly enough) and you'll find much like this.
I don't see this as racist; this is hilarious. I've never seen a white guy actually dance to reggae the way it's usually danced to, just like I've never seen a black guy headbanging or Devil Horning a good rock song. Our inability to cross into each other's cultures should be chuckled at, not shunned due to sensitivity.
Yep yet another Brad Williams brought me here! Yeah...disturbing to say the least. Amazeballs that someone in the advertising industry was even allowed to go that route is...saddening 😂😱😲🤯
I Really Enjoy This Commercial while watching PTI. What I dont understand is why many people say this commercial is racist. I dont get it. Please explain to me why.
@AlexRGravlin Search Early Reggae or Skinhead Reggae it's really heavy on the organ sound and there's a lot of instrumental songs. Try Winston Wright, The Dynamites (Fire Corner/ Next Corner, Sam Fie, Sounds of the 70's, John Public) Harry J Allstars (Liquidator, Don't Let Me Down), Rupie Edward Allstars (Pop Hi, Revenge Of Clint Eastwood), ANYTHING by The Upsetters (The Good The Bad And The Upsetters, Haunted House, Return Of Django) Dave & Ansell Collins (Double Barrel). You don't want Roots.
no see what the problem is, if it was the other way around like A doctor reading a book and a black guy over his shoulder and was like "Horray, helping black folk read for 70 years!" There would be a lot of complaints.
The funny part is that the Black guy can't dance either. But this song is one of my reggae faves; too bad its not available for download. Hooray beer!!!!!
They don't show these on tv anymore. This always made me laugh I seen it all the time during Pardon the Interruption.
Hooray Beer!
That's exactly where I would see this commercial often. Watching that same show.
That’s what remember watching my dad used to watch it all the time
Always loved seeing this during PTI
These and the Guinness "Brilliant!" commercials
@@karenmullenax3832 also the Malibu commercials were good too :0 : th-cam.com/video/8Cl9Nc0ipcM/w-d-xo.html

This is the best one. I'm glad they are showing this again during Pardon the Interuption.
“Hooray beer” popped into my head today after all these years😂
"I... I want to dance but... I just don't have the courage!"
*handed a beer*
"Yay! Liquid courage!!"
Even after all these years, still some of the funniest spots I've ever seen, especially this dance spot.

Anyone here because they remember seeing this commercial during Around The Horn and PTI back in the day?
What the fuck is a Brad Williams?
I DO
best reggae song ever
Like 2001 when that show started with Max Kellerman. That was the shit. Big Jay beat a prostitute!
This guy is the best reggae, and only true reggae dancer I can find on TH-cam. The rest is scantily clad Sean Paul fans bustin' a move to something that is just not true Reggae.
I came here just to hear the music. Very groovy; too bad they didn't release it as a single.
Holy Crap. Brad Williams was telling the truth.
Brad also brought me here
Definitely my favorite, followed by "Beer is not the answer, beer is the question. 'Yes' is the answer".
Always makes me smile.
This has been my iphone ringer for the past 12 years.
The Song has a Smooth Beat.
This and Guinness’ “brilliant!” ads are ingrained in my brain from watching Around the Horn and PTI every day from like 2005-2007
by far the best red stripe commercial
They need to start playing this commercial again, every day
this is probably the best advertisement ever created, everyone should go buy a six pack of red stripe out of respect...
Takes me back to my junior year of high school.
This music is straight rocking. They should have released this song as a single. Irie Mon...!!!
CLASSIC! MY FAVORITE ONE!
This commercial still cracks me up in 2024😂😂
Red Stripe. It's beer. Hooray beer. Imported by Diageo USA, Norwalk, Connecticut.
I watched ESPN and ESPNEWS a lot back in 2006 and 2007 and this commercial came on a lot. I actually liked it 👍

Yea...after my comment I went and got some KFC and some Red Stripe and found some inner peace...Hooray Beer and Marijuana!!
I keep coming back to this commercial because the music is killing. Definitely irie...#respectmon.
I'm white. I'm heavy. I can't dance. Commercial is hilarious. Get over yourselves and learn to laugh instead of taking everything personally.
Thanks for your permission, fatso.
LOL

damn i was looking at older comments to see if the name of the song was ther and the second to last guy was right, in the description the link to the site fluidny has the music and it was made for this commercial only
You guys are looking too much into it, this is hilarious.
@AlexRGravlin This backing track is very typical of the earliest reggae, circa 1968-1970. Look up "Skinhead reggae" (the earliest skinheads were huge reggae fans, oddly enough) and you'll find much like this.
The guy looks like a chubby David Hasselhof !
I still say Hooraaaay beeeer! No one knows what I’m talking about lol!
That song is a vibe. I need to know the name of it!
helping our white friends dance for over seventy years! LOL
They hired an agency to make it for them. I forget the name of the company, but they specialize in making music for commercials.
I don't see this as racist; this is hilarious. All of the red stripe commercials are funny as hell! If anyone thinks its racist, they have some issues that need to be worked out.

Yep yet another Brad Williams brought me here! Yeah...disturbing to say the least. Amazeballs that someone in the advertising industry was even allowed to go that route is...saddening 😂😱😲🤯

Great commercial, but wouldn't work with today's sensitivity
It’s fuckin’ annoying.
HORRAY ANTI-WOKETARDED HUMOR!
🤣🤓🤷🏻♂️
How is it lame? That song loop was great.

no see what the problem is, if it was the other way around like
A doctor reading a book and a black guy over his shoulder and was like
"Horray, helping black folk read for 70 years!"
There would be a lot of complaints.
Would you ever have this switched around...with the white guy danceing?
lol, love it.
if anyone knows the name of the song in this commercial message me pl0x
The funny part is that the Black guy can't dance either. But this song is one of my reggae faves; too bad its not available for download. Hooray beer!!!!!
i cant tell you the name of the song, but i recorded it and edited it. i can give it to you if you want, its about 2 mins long.
So its 12 years later... I'm not sure you are still on TH-cam, but if you are I would love to get the whole song.
I rather enjoy that little tune.
That guy looks a lot like Mike Golic.
