My absolute favorite red lipstick is Kosas in the shade Electra. It's simply perfect for me because it lasts pretty much all day, doesn't show every imperfection of the lips, feels nice and is like an accessoiry for my outfit.

I've never thought red would be flattering on me before I encountered your channel, and only worn a very subtle or blotted red lip color up till this day but everytime I see your red lipstick swatches, I will search each product on Google afterwards to see how they look on the lips then visualize it on me LOL. Just love the red themed videos. This year i finished pat mcgrath in wild cherry and the warmer gucci voile in goldie red, sugar fresh in icon were lovely ! All three were purchases i made because i've seen them here and they were so lovely . I'm definitely having a sheer lipstick appreciation and that's thanks to you! The dragon girl was my only red for a long time, finished it as well a couple of times, and i discovered it through Taylor's fan-sites ! What i am saying is thanks for the good suggestions swatches and descriptions, they are the ones that i manage to use consistently!

I go for a creamy matte if I want longer wear time Jordan! Formulas like Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution, Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet or Lisa Eldridge True Velvet. I apply the colour in lots of layers and blot with a tissue in between each layer to help it last longer 👍💄 x

Tbh I don't really reach for reds because I think they make me look clown-ish & I feel that they're a bit too bold for me. There is a beatiful colour that is so frustratingly difficult to find and I would love to see a video on it. I have a blush pot from Inc.redible "my first love", and two Korean tints, Rom&nd's "nerd pink" and Peripera's Mood Ink in 02 in cool raspberry tones. Please make a video about this colour!

@@matildaonvideo Thank you! I know those are unlikely products, but that's the difficulty; My favourite makeup year was 2005! Western berry colours like Black Honey tend to have a lot of brown in them or be cranberry/wine colours. The rarities I'm after are similar to Pantone's Fiji Flower.

Matilda, I understand you were a law student who took the plunge and ended up doing something non-law related as a career (and look how wonderful that turned out!!). As a law student who is constantly feeling stressed and pressurised to apply for training contracts / is deathly afraid of graduating without one, could you provide some advice? xx
Thank you, that's very kind! Who would've thought I'd end up here 😂 I actually studied a double degree in Law and Media - I was always drawn to more creative roles so I never really intended to practice and luckily didn't feel that pressure to climb the legal ladder. On the other hand, I did a lot of media internships and work experience throughout that time to explore that industry (firmly believe that you don't know if a job is for you until you try it!). I think it's often helpful to look at your passions and interests and try to find a connection - is there a particular area of law you find really engaging, or perhaps a completely different industry where you could end up in a legal role? The knowledge and skills you're learning will apply in almost any setting! Not particularly helpful advice, apologies, but I hope it's of some comfort. Hang in there! x

Are there ever items that you don’t swatch because they’re “endangered” or discontinued?
I do consider this Enna, just to avoid frustrating any viewers (I've seen people get quite angry if they can't find a product haha). As you'll see in my recent Black Honey video and upcoming 2021 Makeup Favourites though, I also have no issue including old or discontinued items if they're the best fit for a video topic ☺️👍 x

Matilda, I understand you were a law student who took the plunge and ended up doing something non-law related as a career (and look how wonderful that turned out!!). As a law student who is constantly feeling stressed and pressurised to apply for training contracts / is deathly afraid of graduating without one, could you provide some advice? xx
Thank you, that's very kind! Who would've thought I'd end up here 😂 I actually studied a double degree in Law and Media - I was always drawn to more creative roles so I never really intended to practice and luckily didn't feel that pressure to climb the legal ladder. On the other hand, I did a lot of media internships and work experience throughout that time to explore that industry (firmly believe that you don't know if a job is for you until you try it!). I think it's often helpful to look at your passions and interests and try to find a connection - is there a particular area of law you find really engaging, or perhaps a completely different industry where you could end up in a legal role? The knowledge and skills you're learning will apply in almost any setting! Not particularly helpful advice, apologies, but I hope it's of some comfort. Hang in there! x
