Thank you for checking out *ATEEZ* (pronounced A (like a letter A) - Tease) in my opinion "HALAZIA" might referring to "the light" or hope. ATEEZ has a song called "Hala Hala" which is short for "Hearts Awakened, Live Alive" and "Zia" means light, splendor in Latin.
Btw, a lot of K-pop groups nowadays have the lore behind their song or concept. As well as ATEEZ, they have a huge and complex storyline. The most of their songs and videos or even on their stage performances or some of their variety shows are connected. And they always give a hint of their story or spoiler for the next song in the ending scene of the music video.
As far as I know, in this series that called "The World" (they already had 2 series before this, it was "The Treasure series" and "The Fever series") They're trying to set the people free from being brainwashed and controlled by the government in the dystopian world called "Strickland" where all kinds of art are banned because it might lead people to have the feelings and emotions again, while the government believes that the human emotions are bad because it caused a lot of trouble and make the world imperfections as it should be. That's why they trying to control the people to live like a duplicate dolls with no emotions.
I recommend you to check out their song "Guerrilla" and their 2 trailers of The World Album, so you might see it more clear about the concept and story.
PS. English is not my first language, but I hope you get what i try to say though 😊

Halazia is referring to being the light in darkness. You can think of the song as a whole as something like a prayer.

      Yes
It’s giving prayer vibes for real

@@quanzy121 yes. I knew I was right after I watched the MBC live stage and saw them making the sign of the cross. I love how they did that, then the next move looked as if they were holding weapons. So praying before going to war.

The song-living emotionless and emotionally numb. Finding hope. Halazia is that hope.
The dance practice is online and is worth watching.
Who are we in the darkness for? Is basically questioning why they were in darkness/emotionless and who put them in that dark.

I appreciate you keeping it real in the reaction!! They do have a storyline that goes back to when their first album came out. Thanxx by Ateez is my favorite song by them. It's the opposite of Halazia, colorful, upbeat and hip-hop/trap driven. I think Halazia is a small project they released as a continuation of their last album which I believe was Guerrilla. I hope we can expect more of Ateez on the channel!

To simplify the song is about living in an unemotional cold world. Wake up, come to the light, feel something, stop being a sheep.
I highly recommend Guerrilla as your next reaction cause it’s in this same realm but more of an anarchy rebellion vibe. It does have a rock sound so idk if that’s your thing but the song and video are dope! I also recommend: Don’t Stop, The Real and Paradigm.

thank you for checking ateez out! halazia is in reference to their storyline as well as one of their older songs “hala hala” and i’d definitely recommend their song and mv for “the real” which isnt lore heavy it’s really just a vibe and one of my personal faves from them

Bookish Theories does an explanation video for Halazia if you are really curious about the meaning. Almost all of Ateez songs are connected to their storyline, which in this particular chapter that we are currently on, Ateez has traveled to a dystopian dimension where the totalitarian government has brainwashed all the emotions out of people to better control them, and Ateez are fighting Guerrilla warfare against the corrupt government. Incidentally Ateez also has a song/music video called Guerrilla.
