Hi David, thanks for your tips! They're so helpful, you're an amazing teacher! By watching your videos and practicing for a couple of hours I improved my skills to a level I couldn't imagine being able to reach that quick.

I like this lesson, the rhythm is very interesting and now that you show it from the side I can see the bounce breathing and throat breathing at work a lot better. Wow so much to learn but I love it!

Yes! I'm glad the side view is working for you! That was my hope. It's more awkward to film this way, but the result seems more useful. Thanks for the feedback, and I'm so glad you're enjoying it!

Another great lesson brother. I have been watching your vids on and off for a coupla months now - when I feel I have been 'neglecting' my playing I look you up. I don't subscribe to much at all but have subscribed to your breathwood, and all this after stumbling across it! Synchronicity perhaps. Keep up the Good work mate...

Wow, thank you so much! I don't subscribe to much either, but I've started doing more since I know how helpful it is to other didgeridoo players (and video makers). I appreciate your attention and support! Glad to know my videos are helping you out whenever you come back to the didge!

I've got you, very helpful and exciting, then at exactly 6:30 I'm lost, just can't figure out why I can't get it to sound like that, I can cheat and use a different technique to get a closer sound. Can do everything up to 6:30, is it still 'D' do wa ah do wa? Because it sounds like 'D' do wa do wa ah which I can only seem to mimic with a jaw thrust, like 'D' jaw thrust jaw thrust ah...

Pretty good lessons. Subbed. Is your didge multi-tone or singular? Also can you get multiple trumpets out of a single tone? Also I notice the wax on your mouth piece, how important is shaping the proper mouth piece to your mouth? I am raw-dawging it and wondering how much that's holding me back. I've just started learning btw.

This particular didge is eucalyptus and is made in more of the traditional style. I can easily get the first trumpet and usually the second trumpet. (A narrow neck makes this easier.) Multidrone is mostly about technique, but a wider mouthpiece and narrow neck make it easier. Wax is really just important in didges with uneven openings, or for when you want to shape a mouthpiece to be the right size for your mouth. Most of my didges have wooden mouthpieces. Hope this helps! Let me know if you're ever looking for some guidance - we can set up a Skype lesson or two!

You're a Canadian right? In Vancouver area? I am in the Toronto area. If you're ever over this way, especially for something didge-related post a video about it and maybe I'll come out!

I've noticed lots of people talk about tongue position and how it makes a different sound. I've found changing the shape of my mouth and position of my lips make the most changes, but if I make a drone and move my tongue all around I get very little sound difference. Am I missing something?

I'm not much of a helper, but I can produce various sounds with just the tongue. What I do is push my tongue towards my lips, kinda of trying to get it out of my mouth

I’ve noticed your Didgeridoo may be in the key of E.
Have you tried a deeper sounding Didgeridoo?
All the pressure is different and the timing is naturally slowed down.
    What are your thoughts...?

Yes, But it doesn't matter, I guess. I recommend listening to a band, Airtist, they have didge, jewharp and beatbox. You can find then on youtube. Nice tutorials, btw.

    Hi there,
I notice you have wrapped your didge in electrical tape.
Does this affect the sound quality in any way? Does it affect in any other negative way the instrument or the playing of the instrument?
    Thanks,
    Sam
