It's not plastic tape, it is a conducting tape made out of metal. This is a hobbyist repair and not in a repair shop. I dont own a spot welder as that is how they are manufatured by an OEM or third party etc, so this will have to do. In all the years I've used them they have not let me down.
@@retrocomputinggrotto I know this Coppertape well .. build many Network Cables with it My Answere stay the same The Glue of this Tape is not strong In a Laptop is it always hot the Glue ages.. the Shrinking Tube has not as much Pressure on the flat Side from the Coin Cell Buy a Coin Cell Holder Why i make so much "Noise" ? Becuase someone thinks he can "wire" Things up with Coppertape it's cheap and easy and some Guy in the Internet says it works .. And a House burns down or People got hurt Yes, you cannot save everyone out there but you can give a Hint that this m Method is only a small Fix not a real Repair

Glueing or Tapeing is not an propper Connection !
