Kaye and Clare. You have saved the day. I am working on quilt blocks that have 6 small Y seam at the very bottom of the 12 blocks. I almost pulled my hair out until I found this video. Thank you so much!!!

Hi, yes, I am struggling with the ‘assembly’ of the blocks. I LOVE Ms Woods’ method of making the block, but I have such ‘lumps’ from the seams when I connect them. Has anyone found a demonstration on assembly? Has Ms Woods posted an update to this showing seams and assembly. I am going nuts!!! Thank you!

I must be seriously missing a screw because I can’t for the life of me figure out how to match the 2 pieces of fabric together (the already pieced section and the square or rectangle to be inserted) so I can sew them together while at the same time have one of the sides of the inserted fabric be flush with the already sewn seam that forms the Y. Does your method work for all Y seams of any angle or just the angle you videoed? Hope my description of my struggles is clear enough to identify the problem I’m having.

@ Thanks for replying. Actually, I just went with what you demonstrated even though I couldn’t imagine how it’d exactly work and wasn’t exactly what you did but after some spray starch, steam and heat, it looks great! Thanks!

Do you have the pattern pieces for sale so I don't have to make my own

    • @clare-rowley

No. We don't sell pre-cut pieces. Their are dies available to cut using a die cut machine.

@@clare-rowley I shouldn't have said that. It was unnecessary and I am covered in shame!!! Attention seeking! But for real though she blew my mind! She is truly a master. It's amazing how people poopoo quilting because they have no idea the engineering that goes into a finely executed quilt.

@@chevydude658 no worries, you have to have thick skin to do a TH-cam channel and this was an impromptu filming and hours of me holding the phone without a tripod in a very tight space with a broken shoulder.
