Thanks for the tour and update on the job I can't imagine that kind of mud / peet bog Hear in eastern Ontario we fight with giant limestone rocks and beaver ponds Nothing like that Thanks for another great video 👍
Thanks for the update Todd no fun wallowing around in that crap….didn’t rain on the Island today either miracles do happen !! Have a Merry Christmas {that’s assuming you’re taking it off !!!
Hello Skadill: WOW!!! That's a lot of work & expense putting that road in. Here (where we have actual winter in Canada) working in those conditions, wait until colder temperatures come, pack the snow on the trail to push the frost down to make a "poor man's concrete" road.
It doesn't ever get that cold where he lives. They don't call it the "wet coast" for nothing. Back in the 60's and earlier we'd get our share of snow and cold but those days are long gone just like M&B the once mighty forestry giant.
My grandma and grandpa had some trees cut on their land back in the 80s and one of the loggers got his skidders stuck in the mud. Buried it up to the frame. And you know how big those skidder tires are, the big, fat wide ones. He had to use his cable winch to free himself. This was back about 1985 or so, and the ruts are still there believe it or not. It was quite a sight.
I'm surprised you aren't snowed in living up in Canada. I think Joey got it all. It was 70f last Wednesday down here in the deep south. Merry Christmas y'all.

Almost seems like it would be easier to yarder log that ground
it's horrible ground, was wallowing in it all day today
Looks like a department of holiday's job with all those people standing around. Mud is no fun trying to make a living.
How do you reforest something like that. So much water
