Hearing Gazerbeam could never look someone in the eye without intentionally bursting them into flames is actually extremely sad and dark to hear especially when he started talking about relationships.
It makes his stoic personality more understandable too. He would literally be putting people at risk by getting too close to them (in both the physical and emotional sense), so he keeps his distance, and few people ever get to see the true hidden depths beyond the surface. It’s all so very sad. The poor guy never asked to have superpowers.
@@dogman15 but still, it must be pretty maddening being able to sense danger nearby and being legally forced to just sit, play dumb and do nothing. Kinda explains why he is like that at the beginning of the first film

Grandfather_Paradox I hope this video will provide TT Games with the information they need about the other supers in the upcoming Lego Incredibles game.
What makes it even worse is that agent Dicker probably knew most of these heroes on some kind of personal level during the glory days (heck, he was there at Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl’s wedding) and helped the ones who lived long enough to see the Superhero Relocation Act get settled into their new lives. Then at some point, he would have figured out they went missing, and were presumed dead. This had to have hurt him terribly, and probably contributed to his dour demeanor throughout the movie. He wasn’t just being a grumpy old man, he wanted to protect Bob, Helen and their family from the fate of other supers the NSA had promised, and failed, to look out for.
I would consider Gazerbeam the smartest super in their files. I mean he not only found out about operation Kronos but managed to evade Syndromes machines long enough to use the last of his strength to carve it into the inside of the cave that Mr. Incredible stumbled upon. Mr. Incredible would have lost if not for Gazerbeam's final message.
blickeroni Same. This sounds so realistic it’s crazy. Like, this is how it would be like if superheroes were real and the NSA or something like it was real.
But on the other hand, she seems like one of the most wholesome people in these files, and yet she has one of the most menacing names (seriously, Stormicide sounds like a villain name, if anything) and as you mentioned, terrifying powers. Thank god she’s one of the nice ones.

For when it says Suit Malfunction on some of the supers, I'll explain how it happened... Dynaguy: His cape was snagged on take off, causing a suit malfunction. Meta Man: His cape was snagged while lifting an express elevator, causing a suit malfunction. Splashdown: His cape was sucked into a vortex, causing a suit malfunction (in other words the force of the vortex was so powerful, it killed him). Stratogale: April 23rd, 1957, her cape was sucked into the jet turbine, causing a suit malfunction (in other words, she was killed because of the sharp blades of the turbine). Thunderhead: November 15th, 1958, after saving the day once again, his cape was snagged on the rocket and the countdown still continued when it launched, causing a suit malfunction (in other words, he died in the explosion in the sea). Which is why you must always listen to Edna and her advice. "NO CAPES!"
To be fair most of the supers lost were all from the 50's who were the most well known. While it is a major loss of life it's nothing too insane when you realize there are thousands across the globe
Learning that stratogal was only a teen when she died is really disturbing and kinda sad. Maybe that was the breaking point for Edna and caused to create the no capes rule.
Oh, most definitely, when Edna is explaining how many heroes died from capes, she remembers the exact date that Stratogale died. It must've broken her heart.
I like how a lot of them have powers that match their personalities in some way, but then when you get to Meta Man, he just has a bunch of different superpowers, and he's labeled as indecisive.
So, since powers seem to be based on personality, then maybe all supers are born similar to jack jack, but Meta Man never really developed a personality so he kept a bunch of them.
This shows you how much love, care, and effort that Pixar put in the Incredibles. They went the hard path and gave each superhero their own personalities and didn’t put generic power like flight or super speed. They put detailed observations of their powers and voice actors that match what the observations say. I like that.
Yeah the sequel Kinda sucked with the other super heroes They looked so ugly or stupid The half decent one was the crusher guy and portal girl Also tht guy with electrical powers
@@excitedcat9517 A nice little detail about electric guy's powers is the fact that realistically when there's nothing to act as a lighting rod electricity will be attracted to the ground thus diminishing it's horizontal range. So whenever you see him using his powers he's always either shooting with his hands raised up or from higher ground in order to maximize his range
You know... Watching dead superhero list from original movie after that feels really, really dark... Don't get me wrong. That scene where Mr Incredible watch how much superhero died in development of Omnidroid series is brutal all by itself, but now... Pixar made every superhero alive, with their own phobias or characters. Each reacted differentely to their superhero career, and that file was kinda downer, considering how things turned out to be in the movie. Man, this movie is dark... Also, Thunderhead sounds like a nice guy. A little slow, but kind and caring
As a 17 year old who has watched the Incredibles since it came out, I have finally learned to appreciate the tension and emotion of that scene when he finds out the fate of the supers at Syndrome's base. My wish for Incredibles 2 is for it to play out as being more serious than what the trailers suggest. What if the villain played a huge role in getting the supers banned originally, or if he secretly worked with Syndrome to kill all the supers? Maybe he was the architect for all of the omnidroids.
Yeah, you watch this and it feels like a nice, warm community. Their personalities and powers, the world of superheroes that fight evil with funny suits and interesting powers. It's so atractive! Then you remember one little, tiny detail... *All of them got TERMINATED.*

Dogman15 I agree, but all we needed to know about the supers was that they existed, they were banned, and syndrome killed a lot of them. So it’s still nice they gave us this.
Yes I agree. Most people likely wouldn’t even know the difference if these files were included or not, I doubt anyone would be clamoring for something like this if it didn’t exist. You only dedicate this much time and effort to a side project that maybe 5% of your viewers will see and care about if you really love what you do, and it’s obvious Brad Bird loved what he was doing with the Incredibles. Pixel_YT Agreed, I just re-watched the first movie yesterday. Mirage is actually scouting Frozone, but after seeing him with Mr. Incredible she told Syndrome to get Bob instead. Makes sense because Syndrome original plan is to get revenge on him.
Considering how Elastigirl said "You don't want me playing for any other team, do you?" she sounded like as if she's threatening to become communist unless the NSA pays for her action wear.
And after reading your comment, I now have the mental image of Elastigirl spouting communist propaganda, and Mr. Incredible simply reacting with a sigh out of pity.
Out of all the superheroes on here, Elastigirl definitely seems the most likely to turn communist. She’s done with the NSA’s capitalist bureaucracy BS.
@@tommyl.dayandtherunaways820i think Universal Man would fit better. He already doesn’t have a secret identity and feels disconnected from the people around him it wouldn’t be are for him to switch sides. Plus, Russian accent.
I would love to see an anthology series on Disney+ that focuses on all of these supers we briefly saw on screen that Syndrome killed through genocide and provide us backstories on each of them. There are a ton of them we don’t know anything about and each superhero could be the focus of each episode. There’s so much to explore within this world.
Want my advice? Forget it. It’s not happening because Disney has become too woke and Democratic to answer fans’ wishes. Case in point: Star Wars. Don’t get me wrong, the shows are incredible!! They really add detail to the Original trilogy. But the sequels are just awful.
I love this. I liked the fact that some of the heroes are not all charismatic, it makes them feel more like people and adds more dimension to this world.
I truly love that they added THIS much bonus material for the murdered Superheros. They didn't HAD to since the scene where Bob finds out about their fates was already one emotional gut punch, and yet they still released this bonus material to REALLY drive home the morality of Syndromes horrific actions. The Incredibles did such an amazing job at making all the heros and villains *human* first and their role second but unfortunately because of the time restrictions we couldn't get to know the other Heros within the movie itself. Sure we still FEEL the horrific nature of them being killed off in masses but not in the same gravity as it could have been. And THIS is what this bonus material is supposed to make up for. To REALLY let us know the tragedies of the human lives that were taken by Syndrome. It may be fictional but the idea of what this actually is supposed to BE is unbelievably heavy. So many of them were murdered by Syndrome and Lucius (Frozone) was initially meant to be taken out next and was only spared because Mirage identitied Bob beside him. Good chance that this is even the reason why Syndromes Island and the Roboter fight incorporated vulcanos so much. It may have been specifically chosen to put Lucius at max disadvantage as it was set up at the beginning of the movie with the burning building scene?
Reading this and you probably had an idea of how Syndrome defeated them, and how Nomanisan Island turned out to be a perfect place for him to carry out his plan. Apogee: The rainforest on the island got too dense for her that blocked the sunlight, or it simply grew dark during storms or at night. Blazestone: Nomanisan Island is... well, an island. An Omnidroid probably forced her into the sea, rendering her abilities useless. Downburst: His inexperience probably means that he can't actually reshape an Omnidroid to defeat it or defend himself. Everseer and other psychic/telepathic superheroes: It is possible that they figured out Syndrome's true intentions so they could've been killed upon first contact with Mirage, only to be shown in a way that seems like an Omnidroid got them. Also I can't imagine how Everseer, being germaphobic as he was, could bear the environment of Nomanisan Island. A hilarious downfall for Psycwave could be similar to the end of TDK from Suicide Squad. Gamma Jack: The fifth version of Omnidroid probably weren't prepared to stand his radiation burst, so in the next version Syndrome found a way to combat this. Gazerbeam: The fourth version of Omnidroid wasn't exactly spherical so his lasers won't reflect, but starting from the fifth version we see them developing to a distinctive spherical body design that would refelct his lasers. If you look closer to the final version you could see some modularized armor plates that probably work as reflectors as well. Hypershock: He would be powerless when surrounded by non-solid material, so lava and water could be his downfall despite initial success. Marcoburst: An Omnidroid forced him into some volcanic caves as seen in the movie that triggered his claustrophobia and got him. The Phylange: A volcanic cave could turn his sonic abilities against him through echoes, or a prolonged fight made laryngits disabled his abilities. Stormicide: Being "like a sponge" near a volcano is dangerous. She probably aborbed too much hydrogen sulfide unintentionally. Universal Man: Like said in 23:31 his abilities are unstable when he, say, tried to increase his own density to deliver a punch to an Omnidroid.
Counterpoint for the reflective material: It seems to work more like the plating on a stealth fighter jet, absorbing and redistributing the energy. Just take a look at when Syndrome hits the V10 Omnidroid with the zero point energy. It doesn't go anywhere.
13:03 in a deleted scene from Incredibles 2, Mr. Incredible talks about Gazer Beam at his memorial service and the character he describes sounds exactly like the one here! Crazy that they kept it consistent with this
Gazerbeam seems to be influenced by both Cyclops and Daredevil. I mean, his power set is a watered-down version of Cyclops, but his occupation is that of a lawyer who takes low-paying cases, a la Matt Murdock. Interesting thing to note.
They had so much personality... So much I need a prequel series for each dead super. To pay homage or something. Maybe a episode per super. It could stream Disney+ People will love it. I just know it

And maybe there could also be a series of episodes dedicated to hero origin stories for each of them.
PTp1ranha You would think Gazerbeam had some form of a sense of humor to laugh with the other supers at some sort of supers party and to crack some jokes.
I thought this was SO cool as a child. Hearing it now as an adult does really make a huge difference now that you understand most things. This was peak Pixar in my opinion and I am impressed with how much effort was put into small things like this.
Meta Man is so friggin OP. Magnetic manipulation, partial invisibility, AND teleportation on top of regular superman powers, with 3/6 bars maxed out? I guess the intelligence bar makes up for it. The lord giveth, the lord taketh.
I sometimes wonder if Splashdown survived. He was sucked into a vortex, but it's also specified his powerset includes breathing underwater (so he couldn't have drowned) and communicating with animal lifeforms (so it's unlikely something like sharks could do him in). The file is also framed as if his body was never found, so who knows.
His body not being found is so grin. On top of that, his audio file was corrupted from water damage. It's honestly very upsetting. He's probably the hero we know the least about.
Oh my gosh. I love Everseer's audio. He is a complete clean freak and I can understand his viewpoint. It's so relatable. Fortunately, I am not as crazy of a germ hater as he is.
So cool that they did this. What struck me the most is that a great many of these files gave us subtle hints to suggest that most of these supers were capable of being pretty full of themselves whilst simultaneously being a tad short of bright: sure, they had powers, but clearly their intellects and senses of morality were just as human as any non-super. Helps the viewer to understand a little better why public opinion eventually turned against them en masse.
That "helps the viewer to understand a little better why public opinion eventually turned against them en masse" is the most troubling statement I have heard all day.
It really sucks that they all died prior to the events of the movie (besides Mr Incredible, Elastigirl, Frozone and assumedly Plasmabolt - I hope that she and Fironic appear in the sequel).
I’m surprised no one’s talking about the eerie files that either have a damaged, incomprehensible, or STOLEN file. All gave me severe chills. We never get to hear them. They had a life, hidden to us, taken from them.
I’m not sure to which ones are sadder, the files that were seemingly lost because the heroes died in the midst of making them, or the ones that were corrupted for some silly or innocuous reason where the NSA simply told the supers “don’t worry about it, you can record it some other time”...and they never got to make that recording....this really makes me feel for Agent Dicker, imagine how he felt when he learned about the fates of these supers, having assumed they would be available to record on another day, only to learn of their deaths, and have his words on tape ring tragically hollow. He must have known most of them on some kind of personal level. He was close enough to Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl to be invited to their wedding, so that says a lot.

I'd like to have heard what Meta Man had to say. Strange how someone with so many superpowers would did in a suit malfunction (getting his cape snagged). Watching the movie I got the impression Mr. Incredible was the most popular superhero in his day, though Meta Man seems to be more powerful. Whereas most of the heroes have a power based on one particular area; plasma, radiation, ice, stretching. He seemed to have a strange mishmash of powers almost like he selected them.
His threat assessment was the highest of any superhero according to Syndrome's database. Mr Incredible's score was second highest and Gamma Jack was third. Mr Incredible was probably the most popular, but Meta Man had more powers. It's also implied that supers start with numerous abilities but then "grow into" one. We don't know if Jack-Jack will eventually have 1 power or a multitude of them.
I wanted to hear plasmabolt, she sounds like she'd be the fun, tomboyish older sister of her super team, the phantasmics. And maybe psycwave would be the salty one like Pearl from Steven universe, macroburst could be the insecure, looked-down-on one and everseer could be the leader who just can't deal with everyone.

Thunderhead really stands out. Even though he wasn’t murdered by Syndrome, his death via cape accident is just as tragic. From what we see of his file, he’s clearly mentally disabled, can’t read, and wasn’t understood at school on account of his disability. He was trying to give kids something to believe in, which he never had. Plus, he had five adopted children to look after with his boyfriend, and when he died, imagine how that affected them?

@Thomas Raines I know that. Gamma Jack is basically Marvel's Magneto but with Nuclear Powers instead of Magnetic Powers and with DC's Booster Gold's Ego.
John Ivan Taro Because Gamma Jack had the third highest rating, right below Mr. Incredible. Syndrome’s plan was to test his omnidroids on as many heroes as possible until he created one he believed would be able to kill Mr. Incredible. And since Gamma Jack’s rating is right below Bob’s, he obviously wanted to test the droid on him.
I love hearing these. It's not like talking to some exaggerated personality of a superhero- no, these are recorded and documented like regular interviews analyzing the everyday individual of the man or woman behind the cape and cowl, and I appreciate all the lengths they went to giving us all of these neat little nuggets of detail. He would literally be putting people at risk by getting too close to them (in both the physical and emotional sense), so he keeps his distance, and few people ever get to see the true hidden depths beyond the surface. It’s all so very sad. The poor guy never asked to have superpowers.

Then at some point, he would have figured out they went missing, and were presumed dead. This had to have hurt him terribly, and probably contributed to his dour demeanor throughout the movie. What if the villain played a huge role in getting the supers banned originally, or if he secretly worked with Syndrome to kill all the supers? Maybe he was the architect for all of the omnidroids.

Actually, universal man was killed off easily due to an ambush by omnidroid version X1.
I’m surprised he could even die at all.
Counterpoint for the reflective material:
It seems to work more like the plating on a stealth fighter jet, absorbing and redistributing the energy. Just take a look at when Syndrome hits the V10 Omnidroid with the zero point energy. It doesn't go anywhere.

George Ashburton So far, he has been ranked the strongest known super. It's pretty stupid how he died after his caps was snagged in an elevator shaft.

@@erikliu7455 I'd rate him second to Mr. Incredible and some others, actually. He is a glass cannon
I always wondered the same.
Broken neck, maybe? Or his file says he was looking for Atlantis, so maybe the vortex washed him up there and he never left?

@@danielstreeter6738 Troubling in a good way, I hope?
It really sucks that they all died prior to the events of the movie (besides Mr Incredible, Elastigirl, Frozone and assumedly Plasmabolt - I hope that she and Fironic appear in the sequel).
I'm just really sad that Stormicide died. I like her voice.
Fironic did
Funny that the Supers listed by Edna had notes that were basically "Death by suit malfunction"
Also Stormicide and Gamma jack were still alive right after the 15 year time skip
PendulumFTW Well, you weren’t wrong about Fironic

Is it normally like that on the DVD or was it to avoid copyright?
@@tommyl.dayandtherunaways820 poor Rick he seems to know these supers and from the beginning of this recording it seems he wants to see the supers succeed and at the time they were nearly all alive apart from the Cape deaths
@@Wendina64920I honestly like Agent Dicker, something about him I like. I think it’s cause he’s the one that look after Bob and Elasticgirl. He definitely was tryna save every hero hired in that organization basically was like a caring Supervisor

Fun fact: Universal Man is actually a reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger because of his title as Mr. Universe which he won when he was a bodybuilder, his heavy Austrian accent and the sound of barbells clanking in the background of his audio file
I wish all these guys had a show.
That's a great idea!
Umm...most of these people are dead. It would have to be a prequel.
Daniel Tatum I know it would be a prequel. I'm not stupid.
PyroGothNerd lol i just love how you reply after 2 years lmao
Ditto, I wanna see more of these guys in their glory days.
I love how Gazerbeam says he has a sense of humor, but the NSA says otherwise.
I like how Hypershock literally tells you everything on the list while you're reading it, all the way down to as soon as you read "Bad Temper" and "Fondness for Drink" he's going off about how he wants coffee with aspirin and how lackluster their coffee makers are.
Another thing I'd like to add is how heartbreaking it feels when instead of another super going through the motions of the interview starts talking to you, Rick Dicker says something along the lines of "Audio File Incomplete." And you just go; "Oh no" in your head.
@@Nobody_Important123him saying “Audio file incomplete” makes me sad

@@dogman15 so true. Best find of 2022 so far for me.
He seemed to have a strange mishmash of powers almost like he selected them.
not to mention his indecisiveness likely played a role in his untimely demise in mission
Incredibles 2 spoilers
He's a poly hero, like Jack Jack.
He was the one man Justice League, did you notice? Of course without Batman.
To be honest I wonder how universal man was terminated if he is indestructible. If there is another incredibles film it would be cool to see stories of the other superheroes and their past.
+SuperRyan80 Universal Man was the first super to be killed by Omnidroid v.X1 pixar.wikia.com/wiki/Universal_Man It's never said how.
+Micah Wiggins +Micah Wiggins I wasn't specifically wanting to see them getting terminated lol. I just thought it would be cool to possibly learn more about the super heroes that were terminated and see what some of their lives were like when they were alive. I think that would make a good film.
batman wouldn't get terminated just to let yall know lol
indestructible doesnt mean he cant be drowned or choked/suffocated.
Jackson Lock he was the first person to die by syndrome he didnt get killed by omnidroid.

I love how these recordings feel like podcasts and radio calls. This kind of attention to detail that is wonderful.
Given the time period the movie takes place in, these were likely (in universe) recorded on portable tape players out on the street, or in studios on reel-to-reel tape. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reel-to-reel_audio_tape_recording
It sounds so realistic. Super awesome detail they added.
And to think that most of them are dead makes them all the more special.
"Adoptive single father of 5 children. Raising them with the help of his roommate, Scott"

Kerorofan Lol, ikr XD
Becomes a lot more sad when you realize he's dead because of Syndrome :(
@@giannigiovful Actually, Thunderhead (Dad) wasn't killed by Syndrome's omnidroids, he was killed by his own cape when it got snagged by a missile fin.
@@giannigiovful November 15th 1958. All was well, another day saved, when... his cape snagged on a missile fin!
Marian Jenickah well thunderhead was the the BRIGHTEST bulb.
Especially me!

No one talks about this line, I can't imagine how Dicker feels, considering all but 3 supers on this list have met terrible fates
Same here, Rick was depressed. The fact NSA was hanging by a thread til The Incredibles came back from hiding? Made him feel alive again but also the sequel was cool as well. I really believe Dash one day gonna be apart of the new NSA when he gets to be a certain age. Hopefully super people will be officially be done with hiding 💯
Gamma Jack: Prone to tyrannical/megalomaniacal impulses.
How did Gamma Jack NOT become a supervillain?
John Ivan Taro he was also a supremacist
@Thomas Raines I know that. Gamma Jack is basically Marvel's Magneto but with Nuclear Powers instead of Magnetic Powers and with DC's Booster Gold's Ego.
John Ivan Taro knowing that I’m not really sad that he died
John Ivan Taro Because Gamma Jack had the third highest rating, right below Mr. Incredible. Syndrome’s plan was to test his omnidroids on as many heroes as possible until he created one he believed would be able to kill Mr. Incredible. And since Gamma Jack’s rating is right below Bob’s, he obviously wanted to test the droid on him.
I Feel Like Syndrome Actually Did A Favor To The World By Killing Gamma Jack.

I love how Elastigirl met Edna through this interview 👌
The following audio files are unavailable (I found these interesting when I was younger):
Macroburst - 16:15
Meta Man - 16:26
Plasmabolt - 19:17
Splashdown - 20:35
Stratogale - 21:50
+Jacob Reveles (JaRev527) why were they interesting? (just asking for your point of view)
Because you didn't get the chance to see their interview, i.e. you didn't get to hear their voice.
I think they would be interesting because of how Mr. Dicker described the reason why they are not available.
That moment when you realise the real reason their files weren't available was either laziness or lack of budget for extra voice actors. Probably the former.
Eh, just because doing something one way does cost less doesn't mean that's why it was done.
hold up i just heard something in gamma jacks " those ones, they're are really really hard to *kill*"
are we now saying that the supers (or atleast gamma jack) are killing villains?
sometimes u have to or some heroes are sent to actually take down really high level threats. Think of this "NSA" to be similar to any other government institution. Not everything, or any code of conduct is absolute.
Some supers do kill.
I mean Stormicide basically implied she acted as a counter to any villains using pyro powers, burning them alive with their own fire.
Mr Incredible kills too
Kills to where?
(Use proper grammar, kids!)
I like how Downburst is freaking massive and looks like a pro wrestler with a razor chin, but he has the voice of an 80 pound nerd.
He clearly used his superpowers on himself, like some sort of personal steroid power.
self esteem prolly
Dang it's even worse seeing stratogale who was a freakin teenager dying by getting stuck in a jet turbine
