I'm 51 years old and grew up on classic rock and blues and never thought I would ever listen to rap. I think Jelly Roll is as real as it gets with his music and I appreciate that. His song "Echoes" begins with him saying "this rap shit is easy, just tell the truth". Asia - I'm sorry for the loss of your mother.

I feel your heartache Mike! Life has been throwing stuff at me for the last 4 years it seems. Well it actually started 7 years ago when my grandmother (my heart) passed away. My grandfather past away March of 2020. My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer and surgically cured October 2019, had a quadruple bypass September 2020, and now was recently diagnosed with lung cancer again in the opposite lung and this time the prognosis isn’t the greatest. Add to that an accident that messed my back up and getting out of a bad relationship. The struggle is real and I don’t know what I would do without music. Much love and healing to you 🥰

I saw jelly Roll in vegas last weekend. Let me tell you that man put on a concert. A free concert at that!!! I bought my merchandise to support. He brought out a crowd of at leat 20k. He had Freemont street jam packed. He brought out his beautiful wife who hyped up the crowed. Then brought out his 24 year old daughter, who he wrote a song with. Do you know when it came time for her solo part. He stepped to the back of the stage. Let baby girl have the lime light and her moment. As a parent that's everything!!! Then what killed it was there was a 12 year old. He shouldn't even of been signing the song. It was way before his time. He had a sign saying... it's my 12 bday all I wanna do is meet Jelly roll . Do you know He stopped mod song . Bright him on stage had him finish singing the song with him. Then had the crowd sing Happy Birthday to him. Honestly yes real. Can't do nothing but respect him , his grind ,and Hustle.

She also told me that you never know what the other person is going through and as long as they weren't harming others, then don't judge them til you know what's going on. My family is very close to me and we've always had a judgement free household. No doubt that we all think about that stuff, but we never confront til we understand.
