I'm voting for Invisible Man. I'm sorry for giggling when you got "I" 😂 I was literally biting my nails when you spun the wheel, and then cackled when you got viewer rec.
My vote: Invisible Man by Ellison. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn made me full on ugly cry. Ugly cry. I loved it, and I will never forget that. I also have Richard Feverel on my shelf and have been putting it off. Maybe you will inspire me to pick it up this month!
Sounds good. I'm loving NN, btw, and I already know that I'm going to ugly cry at the end. I can tell that Dickens is just playing with my like this unicorn game does.
I’ve read all the books on your January pile except a tree grow in Brooklyn and Feverell, and I liked or loved all of them, for what that’s worth 🙂. I think I may make a year long read of the pillow book too great idea! My vote is for The Instructions. I’ve been eyeing it for years, so that’s my selfish reason for choosing such a long book for you!
I’ve never heard of the Instructions! Adding it to my TBR!! I love your collection of books and reading range just in general! Have a wonderful New Years!💕
I've been wanting to read it for years. It's a crazy sounding book. I love reading and not knowing what I'll pick up next. Hope you have a wonderful New Years as well.
This is my read what you own-aimed at physical books I either read and un-haul or un-haul quest for this year (I have limited space and some of these books date back to 1970). So, I am starting with four reads for January. The Immigrants Daughter by Howard Fast, Paradise by Toni Morrison, Queen by Alex Haley and The Sicilian by Mario Puzo.
Good luck with your reading in the new year! My vote is for Instance of the Fingerpost. It's one that has been on my tbr for years & I finally picked up a copy of this this year and hope to finally read it next year.
I laughed so hard when you picked the letter "I", sorry ^^ I would choose "I never promised you a rose garden" because the subject is interesting. But I also heard "The invisible man" by Ellison is great and of course, there is "In the matter of Nat Turner" that you seem so excited about. It's hard to choose. But if I could choose books easily, I wouldn't have that mountain Everest high TBR ! Anyway, enjoy reading that big stack of books - Farah's idea was very good about Pamela.
Lol. It was a crazy game for sure! I'll mark you down for I Never Promised. I've set up a storgraph readalong for Clarissa. It should be linked in the description box. Happy reading!
I've had I Am a Cat on bookshelf for a long time, hoping to tackle it soon, so I'll vote for that. I recently read an article about how publishers in the West randomly put cats on the covers of Japanese novels, regardless of whether there's a cat in the story or not. I assume there will actually be a cat in I Am a Cat! I've got a Laxness book somewhere too, I can't remember if it's Independent People though (my shelves are hidden behind the Xmas tree). Hope you enjoy your January picks!
Hi that isca whole lot of books to read. I am a new fan of your channel in one of your videos you talked about the book of Clarissa so i bought it as well . The book will arrive on Jan 8. You also talked about Amber and i also bought it and the last one it wasca big huge Mammoth of a book it hasvto docwith mysteries or detective but i also bought it. I am reading the Brothers karamazov. I had to buy another book or rather an easy version andcto bechomestcicam loosing interest. I started to read the book on Nov 4 . I am currently on book 5 the gran inquisitor. I feel like rereading this book again but not right now. Your recommendation are really good. Havecan awesome night and happy new year🎉🎉🎉😘😘
I love your TBR game videos and this one did not disappoint! Of course, you pulled A, T, and I. 🤦 My vote goes to Invisible Man. I'm interested in reading it and want to know your thoughts.
The Trees! Let me know when you're starting! 1st buddy read of 2025 🥳 My vote is for the Nat Turner book bc I'm very interested in this project of yours. (If the invisible man wins I will have to order a copy to join you bc that's been on my wishlist for way too long)
I'll probably be starting The Tree pretty early on as I'll probably read it as part of my "Booker Week." Shall I set up a buddy read? (It should be easier to follow as I think there's only one version of the book available.) I have the paper back edition. If you have something else let me know and I'll set it up as a readalong with chapters (easier when we have different editions). Can't wait for 2025! Votes are all over the place, so who knows what will win!
@@stayathomereader Awesome. I'll set it up as a buddy read then. That way we can comment on whatever instead of chapter by chapter. I don't know if it even has chapters!
I'm expecting it to be so. Unfortunately, I forgot I had a buddy ready that starts with T and I'm going to prioritize that, so I'm not sure I'll get to The Trees this month.
I have A Tree Grows... I'm so behind already this year, though. 🤣 American Gods is soooooo good! ❤️😍 I vote for Invisible Man, since it's on your other check list. 😁
You will love A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. It is one of my favorite books. I am not a fan of Catcher in the Rye myself. I love Ralph Ellison' writing, but a difficult book emotionally (my recommendation).
I purchased The Instructions this year and in my book haul video decided I was going to read the first few lines of the book out loud. NOPE! Definitely seems like it'll be a ride. I'll count your vote for Independent People, however.
I'm definitely hoping to get to it. The votes, however, are just for books starting with the letter "i". A Tree, however, has gotten a lot of love in the comments!
I've just watched another booktuber's video and she praised 2 books of "Charlotte Mary Yonge". I thought I would tell you about her in case it's haven't heard about her before. Maybe you would like to check her out. 😊❤
I love American Gods. It is not the one with the angel and demon though; that is Good Omens. American Gods is a big con game, and modern 'gods' versus traditional ones, and involves an undead girlfriend.
I've picked the winner for the view recommendation! Keep in eye out for future videos on the winner and a readalong!
I'm voting for Invisible Man. I'm sorry for giggling when you got "I" 😂 I was literally biting my nails when you spun the wheel, and then cackled when you got viewer rec.
Lol. It just figures. I couldn't believe it.
I always love watching how people pick their books. Love wheels and games!! Looks like you got a lot of good picks!!
I agree! Tbr games are soo much fun to play and watch.

@noteworthyfiction oh yeah. Be prepared...😭

Oh! That gives me high hopes for a good reading month. The Instructions sounds like a trip, so we'll see if I get to go on it!
You will probably like and fly through A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, excellent movie adaptation too.
Wonderful! I don't think I realized it was a movie.
I vote for Invisible Man. That book is on my radar too, so I'd be interested to hear your perspective on it.
Nice! It's on one of your lists, right? (You'd think I'd remember given I just watched that video yesterday. 🤦🏽♀️)
@ Hehe! It’s not on my immediate TBR list, but it’s on my wishlist.
The bookshelves in the background look great! Worth the wait 🙏
Thanks! It was a long time coming, but totally worth it!

Sounds like a good challenge and some interesting reads!
An Instance of the Fingerpost is a very good mystery. :)
So I've heard. I'm not a huge mystery reader, but I loved the idea of how it's structured.
I'll vote for Ivanhoe.
This is turning into a popular pick!
The Invisible Man - this is on my TBR, because I only read chapter 1 years ago & liked it.
I've heard amazing things. The premise alone is intriguing.
Yay, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is on my long term TBR. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Great! It's a packed month, so I hope I get to it!
Love how your letter cards were listening to you!!😂 My vote is for The Instructions.
Right! They were definitely saying "I hear you!". Thanks for the vote.
Nat Turner. Get that project done!
I also have The Instance of the Fingerpost to read.
Thanks!
I loved the way you are going to read Clarissa. Happy reads. 🎉
Thanks! I look forward to it.
I think The Instance of the Fingerpost will be an interesting read; I've always wanted to read it.
Great! Thanks for the vote.
Good luck with your reading in the new year! My vote is for Instance of the Fingerpost. It's one that has been on my tbr for years & I finally picked up a copy of this this year and hope to finally read it next year.

Ah, such a good idea that I just bought the ebook (the physical one is too chunky to carry in my bag to work) and will read along too.
Lol. It was a crazy game for sure! I'll mark you down for I Never Promised. I've set up a storgraph readalong for Clarissa. It should be linked in the description box. Happy reading!
Ivanhoe is my vote. It was one of my favorites as a kid. It is longish, but fast and fun adventure somewhat like Robin Hood..
Sounds good!
The Nat Turner book...so you can finish your project. 😊
Yay! Thanks for the vote!
I would choose I never promised you a rose garden. 😊
oh! Interesting pick! Have you read it before?
No, but I have it on my TBR list.
I'll vote for I Ching, sounds interesting
Right! The outcomes are so specific and situational that I can see how helpful they would have been.
Ivanhoe, it's one I have heard of lol.
lol. Good reason to choose it then.
The invisible man, I'm also reading it next year and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
Great!
My vote is for In the matter of Nat Turner. 📚❄️💚
ooo. This one's quickly creeping up in votes.
Independent People is my vote.
You're reading some great books that i hope to get to one day!!🎉🎉 yay Clarissa!!🎉
I'm very excited about this list too. Is it 2025 yet?!?
My vote is for the Nat Turner book! I recently found your channel and am loving your videos!
Welcome! Thanks for the vote and I'm glad you're enjoying the videos.
This was so fun! I can't decide between Invisible Man or In the Matter of Nat Turner... probably the former because I would love to read this one too!
Glad you enjoyed it! Sounds good as I'd be happy with either.
I've had I Am a Cat on bookshelf for a long time, hoping to tackle it soon, so I'll vote for that. I too have heard about the random cats on the cover! Thanks for voting and I hope you enjoy your January reads as well!
I am voting for invisible man! I am finally reading it this year so I’m curious to hear your thoughts as well.
Excellent! A winner has been chosen and will be announced soon.

Invisible Man
Great! Thanks for voting.
I've had I Am a Cat on my wishlist for a while now, so my vote is for that.
Excellent!
I love your TBR game videos and this one did not disappoint! Of course, you pulled A, T, and I. 🤦 My vote goes to Invisible Man. I'm interested in reading it and want to know your thoughts.
Thanks for voting. And, I don't think I could have planned that if I tried! Such a fun and crazy game.
Indian Summer is my vote, it's a lovely little story
Which Indian Summer do you mean? The one I own is by William Howells. The one I meant to buy is by Adalbert Stifter.
@noteworthyfiction oh I meant the one you had on your shelf by William Dean Howells 🙂
@@ManorClassics Great! Also, good to know!
You're living my dream, a proper library requiring a ladder!
Lol. Thanks. I'm living mine too. Hopefully, one day, you'll get to live it as well.

I vote for Invisible Man. It is on my tbr already!
great!
It has no chance, but my vote is for The Italian...because I'd love to hear a review of it that might help me decide if it's a book I'd enjoy.
ooo, nice. I hope to get to it this year. I have high hopes.
I remember that in seventh grade a lot of the girls Fred I never promised you a rose garden and we all got very dramatic and weepy😜
Sounds about right!
The Trees is a brilliant novel.
I'm expecting it to be so. Unfortunately, I forgot I had a buddy ready that starts with T and I'm going to prioritize that, so I'm not sure I'll get to The Trees this month.
Oh... Ice trilogy sounds bonkers. I've added it to my Wishlist. I's love to hear your thoughts on it.
I agree. Sounds like a great book with a wreck of a situation. Sign me up!
I have A Tree Grows... I'm so behind already this year, though. 🤣 American Gods is soooooo good! ❤️😍
I vote for Invisible Man, since it's on your other check list. 😁
Thanks Koda!! Happy reading. ❤️
I vote for I Never Promised You a Rose Garden
ooo! Another vote for this obscure little book. Great!
You will love A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. It is one of my favorite books. I am not a fan of Catcher in the Rye myself. I love Ralph Ellison' writing, but a difficult book emotionally (my recommendation).
Great! I'm looking forward to A Tree Grows and will count your vote for Invisible Man.
I, Ching is interesting.
I've skimmed it and it's fascinating.
In the Matter of Nat Turner please!
Thanks for voting!
I am voting for Invisible Man. This spin made me laugh.
Wonderful! A winner has been chosen. It made me laugh too.
I'm going to go for Ivanhoe. New subscriber, by the way. Just found your channel!
Thanks for voting and WELCOME!! Ivanhoe is going strong!
I vote for I, Claudius! 😊
Thanks for voting!
I would go with Invisible man or I, Claudius, just because I'd like to read those myself. 😊
Sounds good! I'll add your vote in last in case I need a tie breaker.
I vote for the Nat Turner book.
Thanks!
invisible man and maybe we can do a read along with you!!
It might happen!
Ivanhoe 📚
Thanks for voting.
Very ambitious, but I have confidence in you, Nicole! 😃
That's good! Someone should. I'm super skeptical.
@@noteworthyfiction LOL You got this!
The Instructions! It’s absolutely nuts. I loved it. But I would have to vote for Independent People.
The Ice Trilogy is on my tbr this year.

Independent people.
Are you reading two books titled, The Year of Wonder?
Technically, no. The Music one is Year of Wonder and Geraldine Brooks' book is Year of Wonders. Not confusing at all. 🙃
A Tree Grows In Brooklyn has my vote. It's been on my list for several years. If you choose it, I will drop everything and read it as well!
I'm definitely hoping to get to it. The votes, however, are just for books starting with the letter "i". A Tree, however, has gotten a lot of love in the comments!
@noteworthyfiction Invisible Man, then.
Hahaha Happy 2025 🤣🤣 The game is choosing violence.
I know! It came out punching!! 😂
I, Claudius !
I've heard really good things about this one.
