    Namaskar Acharya jee.
I am suffering from a severe nasal allergy like mucous draining and unstoppable cold since 7 to 8 years. I used so many medicines but my efforts are in vain. Unexpectedly on 20_1_16 I watched your video on TH-cam about Kapaalabathi and practiced twice daily since then. Any one can believe or not I got amazing results from this exercise and thrown out my mucus abnormally from nostrils. After doing this exercise I feel very very happy. Proior to this I am very suffered from huge cold. Now I am full free from cold. I just do this twice up to 100 times only. Thank you Acharya sir.
This method is very helpful to all who are suffering from same ailments. But carefully follow the procedure.
    THANK you.

Observe the breathing of a new born baby, deep belly breathing immediately, which is sadly lost with growth, nursery schools should keep the practice going in children, so should upper schools and so on, nice video, namaste

for decades I ignored and mocked such holistic practices, mainly cos, it is a way of existence, not to submit easily, to challenge everything- every norm, every thought, no matter what the lineage of it. But then finally I gave it a shot or one can say chance...:-), and after doing it for a couple of weeks with complete faith. (Faith I realize is an important key). Mainly Kapal Bhati and anulom Vilom and some basic meditation. Things have totally brightened. I get SLEEP now. SLEEP the most crucial precursor of all things.

To live long breath long is universal fact in the art of living. Kapalpathi as explained by Acharyaji is very useful &effective. Doing this Kapalpathi will reduce bulging belly, make slim, increase blood circulation.faster..This is done by powerful breathing inhaleing exhaling by both the nostrils at a time.. May be done for about ten times along with Pranayama better first before starting other breathing exercises.

@brandon8robinson Beginners can aim at 30 repetitions of kapalbhati. Take a short break (maybe 30 seconds) then you can do another 30 repetitions. Never exceed your limitations and take a break as soon as you feel tired or light-headed.

This is because of his Tratka practice i suppose.
This is a form of meditation where you focus on one point, without blinkin your eyes.
It should only be performed inside, because the wind could harm the eyes.
Its very powerful, and also suitable for beginners if you dont force too much.

I also do the basic Kriya meditation daily that is about 12 minutes long, how long is one suppose to do this one? I heard that you're suppose to do it as many minutes as the age you are. Is this true?

When one exhales and stomach goes out, it means that you are breathing with your chest cavity.
Chest must be almost motionless, and breathing is performed with the help of the stomach only.

First you should know about swaminarayan sampraday. Then you should criticise it. Swaminarayan is fountain head of all incarnations. AVATARI. His divine abode is Akshardham. We can reach only after becoming brahmarup. To become brahmarup the jiva should
      Yasyadeve para bakthi. ...Gita shlok
Akshardham is referred to in gita: Brahmabuta prasannathma....
Only when the jiva's merits attain maturity can come into contact with the swaminarayan sampraday. .
      Refer to baps.org
If there is any baps swaminarayan mandr in your area then contact saints there and enquire about the way they do bakthi and thattva . Jiv ishwar maya brahm and parabrahm are five eternal entities. When the jiva crosses maya with the help of brahm then it is worthy of doing seva to parabrahm. Krishna Ram are all avatars. Like them innumerable millions of avatars in innumerable millions of brahmands are there. But swaminarayan is avatari of all avatars. He came to the earth to remove eternal ignorance and give ultimate moksham to the jivas. Saints are nishkaam nirlobh nirmaan nissneh and nisswadh. Jayswaminarayan

Hi. My name is Garmt, and was just curious about the double breath technique. Thank you I will try it. The reason I post you is to tell you that i found out something very simple yet effective. It's allmost dumn that I tell you this. Iam a tall guy and have a good self esteem. Yet through schizofrenia i developed after years and years a form of anxiety attacks, mostly in supermarkets or busrides. It's actually a form of hyperventilation where you still breath a normal rythim but the lungs are not doing much and you want to rest in bed. I tried walking and then running, but bad stamina so I started small. Like 75 running steps and then walking until my breating returns to normal rythim. Two or three sessions. It increases nose and lung efficiency and the secure feeling that when you get an anxiety attack, you can say iam standing in rest here so why should I worry about my heartattack and hyperventilation feeling right? I hope that you can advise this too. And I will try double breath.

    look up diaphragm breathing.
When one inhales "properly" using the diaphragm then stomach expands.
When you exhale, the stomach goes in.
The incorrect way is when one inhales, the chest expands and the stomach goes in.
Breath in, try and keep chest still and expand your stomach (diaphragmic breathing)

yes he said the stomach goes in when you exhale. that happens with my stomach naturally when i exhale, except when i breathe strangely.
if it doesn't happen with you, then you are probably breathing into the chest only. you should try to breathe into your stomach more for this technique.
chest breathing is a matter of habit though, and it might be difficult to change to stomach breathing.

@ffatali Go slowly and build up over time. Practice without force or strain. Not every Pranayama is right for everyone so you could experiment with some other techniques, maybe some more gentle and slow ones. Later you might feel like you want to go back to the ones that made you dizzy, and find that they don't do that any more! Hope this helps : )
