And they artificially cap stingers and radar for guns to stupidly close ranges, I barely keep a positive kd in any abrams. I get plenty of kills but die nearly every time to some camper or an su34 from 11km away.
Being able to get a target lock beyond 12km is devious of Gaijin. More and more these obnoxious ranges and no mission design rework to accommodate these new things or new SPAA to face them

I’m saying it costs as much for an Aardvark F with Mavericks and a pair of 9Ls as an F-15C with 9Ms. Part of the CAS spam would be mitigated by giving people an easier time to just run air intercept, especially given the absurd amount of Kh-38 and Pantsir spam nowadays. This is a multifaceted issue that’s largely brought on by the player base itself, but we need multiple smaller solutions to first check the problem, then go in and actually fix it.

At this point there is no argument that Russian Bias isn’t real, the addition of the SU-34 (which is confirmed to be getting a buff by getting R-77s) has completely destroyed any chance that USA had to be a competitive Top Tier nation. Addressing the just spawn SPAA argument about dealing with SU-34s, the only 2 NATO SPAA in War Thunder that comes close to being as strong as the Pantsir is the FlaRakRad and the ITO, other than that the ADATS stands almost no chance on being able to defend against Russian CAS. To address something other than Russian CAS, is the matchmaker. There is absolutely no reason why USA should be ALONE in a top tier match fighting Germany, Russia, Sweden, Japan, Italy, and France (yes this has happened to me and the game was over no joke in 5 minutes). There is no reason why any nation should be alone in a match. What gaijin needs to do is make it so Top Tier (10.3-12.7) matches should not have Germany, Sweden and Russia be on the same team. Until Gaijin gets their heads out of their ass about America in their game it is completely useless to play it.

The longest range would be AEGIS/THAAD, then Patriot, then NASAMS, then stinger, then CIWS/CRAM systems. The problem is- they’re not really mobile SPAA. They don’t make specifically SPAA vehicles because it would be kind of a waste of money for them- the US Air Forces are plenty enough to support their ground forces. Russia, on the other hand, knows their Air Force isn’t numerous or effective enough to counter something like the USAF or USN one on one. They rely on their anti air systems to support their fighters, and protect their ground forces from NATO air support when their Air Force won’t be available. Because their military’s offensive strategy largely is based on mass ground assaults via mechanized divisions, systems like the pantsir and TOR were developed. The arcadey nature of war thunder’s matches also don’t help much, with tank battles taking place in small cramped areas and CAS spawning extremely close. But really, the very presence of SPAA being a line to research inherently benefits nations that put development into them. And- that’s really only Russia for the most part.
