-Stonewall Defense--Complete the "End Game" mission without losing any Gorgons to the Xanthos's attacks on Normal difficulty or higher.
-Bringing Down the Big Guns--Destroy the Xanthos before its 3rd activation in the "End Game" mission on Hard difficulty or higher.

I played this level for a friggin day the normal way and couldn't beat it your way is wayyy better. No upgrades and that single fat beam(Alarak attack) is easier to dodge than the other normal ones.

Looks like a sneak attack with BCs from behind is a must for ANY difficulty if you want to keep all Gorgons

This is insanity. I'm having a difficult time following this on hard difficulty. Some of you players are too fast.

i used the ionic shield from last mission to turn damage to ten damage up to 500 durablity, apollo suit, range finder, and caster rifle to survive long enough to nuke and near infinite snipe usage. Battlecrusiers with special gadgets and tactical jump helped a ton to stop that thing. I had Nova with 6 nukes and ravens to heal everything on top of dealing with anyone attacking my base. 3x upgrades, bunkers, siege tanks, liberators, and SCVs held the defense with my Battlecruisers tearing apart the assault group sent my way.

Excelent played! how many tries did it take to clear this mission?

For merely clearing it, just one reload after I got a sense of what the attack timings were. To get this recorded run with all achievements done in one go, it actually took several tries because I only got one chance for the nuking Ghost achievement (because mastery makes me clear quickly), and it took me a few restarts to finally find the Ghost before the nuke landed.

Dang im struggling with this one. I cant defend gorgons. Cant defend my base or micro assault BCs without dying.

what tech did you use on Nova? Is that important?

I used Snipe + Grenade for the weapons, and the range visor + energy regen suit for the armor. I find that to be fairly good for most general purposes, but I think other players can use their own preferences and still manage just fine.
I do specialize for certain missions, however.

Only works if you don't suicide your BCs with accidental F2's... I just did marine spam, was much easier.
