MANAGEMENT OF CATFISH FRY
update: In your production, make sure you use a very good and gravid broodstocks which is at least two years old and above with aleast 2kg weight
Get a water ph within 6.5 - 7.5 and allow the hatchery tank to be filed a day before your production date.
If you are producing in a flow through system make sure the water level is within 6 - 12 inches hight, but if is in recirculatory system, your pond can be filled to the bream. But you must use shiphonic inlet system.
Make sure you fertilize your eggs well and spread them homologously on the cacaban or net as the case may be, don't disturb the hatchery tanks after spreading of fertilied eggs.
Don't allow pollution at all as soon as the eggs hatched out , remove the net out of the tank. And flush out the old water and fillled with the new water which have good ph level, and must have stayed 1-2 days In a storex tank and don't filled the tank above 6-10 inches.
Continue changing the water every day with this same format for the next four days, use the good atemia for their feeding and feed properly.
For the first two weeks don't allow their water to go beyond 12 inhes hight, after the first one week wash their tank with table salt and repeat the same thing in their second week also.
In their third week mold their feed and add red and yellow capsule ( tetracycline).
With this format you are sure of 90% success in catfish production.

Catfish fry in hatcheries are fed finely ground meal- or flour-type feeds containing 45-50 percent protein. go to the feed store ask them to give you feed for catfish fry, it looks like flour powder

Pls which antibiotics do you use to sustain the fries from day 4 to 15 for them not to drop or die, thanks
Make sure your water quality is good, run flow through system for them 24/7, with this method your fries will not drop. Another mortality on fries is the over feeding, and left over food in the hatchery will start killing them, so be careful how u feed them, a finger pinch is ok for them, always try to know when the hatchery is slippery and this signal a problem, what you have to do is to transfer them and clean up the pond with salt and water, then return them and start running the water again
