To speak very good and sound proper, English is spoken on daily basis and practically in majority of interviews in india. While malayalam actors in kerala, Spanish or Chinese or polish actors don't need to that and they do their interviews in their mother tongue. This is prevalent in bollywood whereas others in india speak their mother tongue. When they speak english they have accent that are made fun off. I guess they want to sound great and not have any accents so they will be more accepted.

It's an Indian thing b.c Penelope Cruz doesn't do that not even Jackie Chan. In metropolitan cities there is the need for English proficiency. To speak very good and sound proper, English is spoken on daily basis and practically in majority of interviews in india. While malayalam actors in kerala, Spanish or Chinese or polish actors don't need to that and they do their interviews in their mother tongue. This is prevalent in bollywood whereas others in india speak their mother tongue. When they speak english they have accent that are made fun off. I guess they want to sound great and not have any accents so they will be more accepted.
