    Duplicating an angle in a multicam timeline is a very practical and simple trick, thank you for sharing. And I have a tip to make it even better! You were right in observing that Resolve does not show in the multicam viewer on the Edit page the transforms (zoom, opacity etc) that you make on angles in the Multicam timeline (highly confusing, DaVinci should solve that). But if you add a node in the Multicam Color page and choose the Transform FILTER from the Resolve Library (under Resolve FX Transform), all changes in zoom, position, rotation etc WILL be shown in the multicam preview! Your zoomed-in angles 4-6 will be shown enlarged on the Edit page. That will make it a lot easier to judge and select the right angles when editing.

      Hi there! Thanks so much for the tip! I’m going to try that in my next edit. I’ll probably put out a new video on MultiCam editing and showing that off as well. Thanks for watching!

    Thank you !!! The "Show on timeline" was an eye-opener for me. Until then I used multicam to cut between angle 1 and angle 2 and when I made all the cuts I selected all the angle 2 clips (tedious job) and move them to a different video track, then group them for coloring and zoom. Your video saves me a lot of time! Thanks

      That's great to hear! I recently switched from Final Cut Pro and I tried to replicate that workflow with Davinci. I'm glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching!

    Many thanks.
    Done a ton of multiclip vidos so most was known but one was an eyeopener. It was that i can select new angle by hovering above and select a new angle by clicking on it tgether with the ALT-key. It vwill select a new angle instead of inserting a cut. I often slect the wrong angle when I am cutting multiclip videos and have to change to the right angle. I was doining this through the menus but this is much better. A small tip - but an valuable one.

      That's great to hear. I edit a lot of podcasts and they're multi-cam shoots. I constantly pick the wrong angle and have to change it. Thanks for watching!

      @@apple-a-day Figured out that when I use the Speed Editor I can double-tap on a camera angel button to swtich angle without inserting a new cut. Very handy indeed.

      @@arskortguldsj Interesting... I didn't know you could do that. I have the Editor Keyboard and it does not appear to have that option. That would be very handy!

    You can label the tracks Left, Right, Center in the second example so you can easily identify which is which in the multiclip editing window.

    Thank you for this tutorial! If I may, if you have just one video, I think using adjustment clips would be much more faster and easier.
    You would put adjustment clips over the segments you want to "zoom in to a subject" , and you can change the clips colors so they're easy to figure out!
    For the color grading, you just need to do changes to the initial video, and voila!

      @@apple-a-day May I ask, do you have any advice for synchronizing auto that was recorded from one of the cameras? For instance, I've filmed some footage and the primary audio was captured from one of my devices. I would like to use the audio from one of the cameras for the entire edit. @2:16

    Hi guys - just to clarify one thing - the free version does NOT allow for 4k editing as of Resolve Version 19.

    • @apple-a-day
      @apple-a-day  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi there, thanks for the comment. Actually it would seem that the free version does support 4K but it's limited to 8 bit. This is from Blackmagic's website:
      The free version works with virtually all 8‑bit video formats at up to 60fps in resolutions as high as Ultra HD 3840 x 2160
