Two people I really feel for was nei and soara the other two girls in the party. They were legitimately affected and brainwashed by the heroes skill to turn against the MC who they actually loved. The entire time they were aware of their actions but couldn't stop themselves or control themselves because of the guys power once they were freed it played heavenly on their conscience and psyche.
Its basically a Shield Hero speedrun with a hint of Redo of Healer and an MC that even the most generic isekai protagonist would call overpowered. Lots of violence and T&A, and a TON of edge. Adult Kaede is physically an obvious ripoff of Caster from Fate Extra, but she acts identical to Raphtalia. Bad guy's pretty one-note. His motivation seems to be "I'm gonna do the most evil thing I could do in this situation while still calling myself The Hero". Everyone else is pretty much a standard NPC. Somehow it's all still entertaining. Sometimes you don't need to be very complex to tell a story.

I read a novel that has the same premise as this. The protagonist however didn’t get mad at his friend though because he was in fact a reincarnated 40-50 year old man who saw them as children and was only really interested in milfs. That’s why when he sees the hero’s mother he jumps at the chance to start a relationship with her.
What is it about series like this where the MC is at first on the low, gets beaten or mistreated then comes back an absolute Chad that completely grab my interest

yeah I think the author is just writing things down that he/she thinks is cool. would be nice if it was slowed pace and he learns the in and outs of battle and not just battles but micro managing his skills even those that are outside aspects of combat and min-maxing stat building. like what mmorpg players would do. or using a mid tier weapon combining it's built in effects with character skill and item effects to out match higher tier leveled weapons and armour. i'm guessing the author didn't played mmorpg but just single player rpg. or a proper world building. seems like he/she writes only things that influences him/her. i remember a game i played called ragnarok where i built an assassin wrong and gave it INT stat because i didn't want my character to be dumb (lol) then a few months later a new build came along with INT as it's major stat and a new skill. it became the to go to build for assassin pvp builds. and it was painstakingly difficult to level a Int type assassin , since most of the early skills were agility and str based damage but once you attain the assassin class and got the soul destroyer skill then you can one shot players and bosses. and what weird is that you use a low job weapon for this build , since you can equip two daggers rather than one katar. meaning more slots for cards that boost int. its such a roundabout build but once you got all of it down you can one shot HP build characters. i think that writing a character that gets instantly strong is quite meh , look at mushoko tensei despite being the prototype of this genre it is still one of the best if not the best. the author knows writing characters that are OP would be meaningless.
Actually it takes awhile for him to get over things. Manga adaptations like this, usually aren't good at expressing periods of time. There's stories i've read, which over a 6 month period happened. But it wasn't explained to well. And only knew it was 6 months, because it was briefly mentioned in narration.
Yes I agree that he may be a little bit too op as a protagonist but this story is well made. It has a clearly defined protagonist (positive/good character) and antagonist (character who creates conflict) so I like this story a lot.

Depends on the rules of the setting. He most likely wouldn’t be in line to inherit unless he had a noble title of his own. Most likely the title would pass to any children he had with the count’s daughter. Of course, this assumes that he would be allowed to marry her in an official capacity at all. He’d more likely be used as a baby daddy while the daughter officially married someone else to keep up appearances in noble society. If he managed to earn high status of his own, then he’d probably be allowed to become the official husband. Note that this is pure speculation and not based on any actual knowledge of the series.

Humorously no, this predates the rising of the shield hero by about 5 years or so, ( NOT the video! But rather the web novel the anime is based off of). It honestly seems like his power is more of "shaping" instead of "control." As far as I'm concerned, he slowly manipulated them against him, but, to an extent, likely had some conscious decision here.
No. His gaze power over rides the will of anyone weaker than he is. That person will know in the back of their mind that following him isn't actually what they want but aren't entirely conscious of it either so they can't break out of it. It also comes with the really bad side effect of once the skill is released/broken, that person's mind may break if the actions they were made to do are against what they would normally want.

A huge chunk of isekai anime started off as webnovels in the JP equivalent of wattpad. While awesome stuff comes out there, (Shield Hero, Re:Zero etc) most are of wattpad quality. Gotta sift through crap to get to the good stuff.

On chapter 11 and it's like if Banished from the Hero's Party, Chillen in Another World With Lvl 2 Cheat Powers and Rising of the Shield Hero had a baby. Nothing groundbreaking but it has been good so far. Also, I didn't think I'd hate a character more than Melty and Sword from Redo but the "hero" takes the prize

the two controlled heroines are in love with the protagonist but was being brainwashed and the moment the brainwash got broken one of the controlled heroines tried to end her own life after realising all the things she has done and the protagonist was heartbroken cause he learned she was brainwashed and he was glad to have her back.

Depends on the rules of the setting. He most likely wouldn’t be in line to inherit unless he had a noble title of his own.
Most likely the title would pass to any children he had with the count’s daughter. Of course, this assumes that he would be allowed to marry her in an official capacity at all.
He’d more likely be used as a baby daddy while the daughter officially married someone else to keep up appearances in noble society. If he managed to earn high status of his own, then he’d probably be allowed to become the official husband.
Note that this is pure speculation and not based on any actual knowledge of the series.

That person will know in the back of their mind that following him isn't actually what they want but aren't entirely conscious of it either so they can't break out of it. It also comes with the really bad side effect of once the skill is released/broken, that person's mind may break if the actions they were made to do are against what they would normally want.

That said, the question remains how to interpret the existence situation... I mean she was manipulated and, though the hero admitted it was harder to do, her will was overwritten... However, should one expect the MC to forgive and forget that easily? What if she is empregnated by the hero, would the MC be required to shackle himself to that traumatic nightmare when/if she breaks free from the control?
