Great video, I intend to fish the Dumbarton and Cardross area this coming season (also LLAIA) having mainly fished Rhu and Kilcreggan this past season.
Yes it's Llaia controlled to protect the stocks. The LLAIA controls from upstream of dumbarton rock right down past helensburgh round into the sealochs at kilcreggan and cove. There is a map on the website. U can get estuary permit from them. Day ticket or season. Follow this link. www.lochlomondangling.com/membership/
Fantastic video I used to catch many sea trout in my local river at night sadly they have all but gone from it now but the memories never leave me. Can I ask you have you fished any other estuary water further down the firth of Clyde and if so have you had much success. Cheers Bob
I've fished all the LLAIA water from Dumbarton to Rhu and Kilcreggan. I've caught mainly mackerel at rhu. However I've not fished down there much to find the seatrout.
Fantastic , them mackerel would have been on my tea plate for sure.👍

Hi are there any bailiffs on the Clyde estuary this year would you know … it’s shocking the fishmongers at rhu narrows and round at garelochhead
@johnanderson2419 good question. They are too many fish getting chapped
Excellent, any advice on which flies work best?
For the estuary blue silver medicines, teal blue silver, squirell blue, elver flies or long bait fish patterns. Sparcely dressed.
@@CF_Fishing thank you! Much appreciated,
